  1. I will have a look at mine later, not sure how easy it is to measure whilst on the car though

  3. In my experience normal cars get too cold and too damp to ever be all that comfortable to go camping in.
  4. Definitely worth spending a little more for these parts, oem parts don't seem up to the job
  5. Not really sure what you mean, it's not a camper Van (which is where I belive the term comes from)
  6. This is the one I went for and haven't had any problems yet
  7. It's an easy job if you can get the car high enough in the air, I did it on jacks and stands and it was quite fiddly took a couple of hours that's all. If your links are new you'll be ok, mine were rusted solid around the bottom nut

  9. I can't find it but the meyle drop links seem to be the one to go for and I think moog bushes. Did mine and it was like driving a different car! If you scan through the forum for anything to do with a Knocking noise, like I said before it a common problem.
  10. I would say "light slate" but it's difficult to tell from a picture, I'm sure mine is a lighter grey than that
  11. Don't know if this is any good to you http://www.leatherworldtech.com/Chrysler-Dodge-Plymouth-Leather-Dye-Colors-s/1848.htm
  12. That was my thought Nev, I belive the rear quater is the extended part of the vehicle, in which case the doors should be the same (cheaper to manufacture) but couldn't say for sure
  13. Definitely replace bushes as already stated and the drop links, ( seems to be a common fault) had to cut the old links off as the bottom nut gets badly corroded. Don't buy standard stuff, pay a little extra it's worth it. There is a link to eBay for good quality drop links and bushes
  14. I wouldn't trust Halfords to clean my car let alone check anything, sounds like your battery is on its last legs
  15. Mine used to do that, would lose any previous set stations and change frequency, seems to have stopped doing it since I changed the battery. It wasn't dead but struggled to start if the doors were left open too long or the electric doors used etc. Might be worth starting there
  16. It's connected through the 3 av sockets on the front of the dvd player, player comes with all connections other than the power cable. There is probably other players that will do the job, chose this one because it was cheap :-) can't believe it's taken me almost 12 months to figure out when the answer was so simple and straightforward
  17. All sorted :-) Sumvision Cyclone micro 2+ media player and a power adapter cable for the cigarette lighter. All for under 30 squid. Got to think of a clean and tidy way to hide it now :-)
  18. Yeah I thought that it would be simple at first too, ordered a small media player and a cigarette lighter power adapter, fingers crossed it will mean a more peaceful journey for me and the wife :-)
  19. Tried that, doesn't work because the USB needs power to use it. I've had an idea, ordered some bits from eBay, will report back when they are delivered, cost around £30 so not too expensive either
  20. Its the physical connection I'm looking for I have lots of kids films on a stick (all legal) which I play on my TV at home. Going on holiday to France so need lots of films to keep the kids happy. I don't have a USB port in the car just the av connection (red, yellow and white) I'm guessing I need some sort of powered converter/connector to play through the dvd player in the car.
  21. Still no further on with this, any ideas where to start, is it even possible?
  22. It sounds like something is affecting the safety sensors that stop the tailgate if it thinks it's hit something. Try spraying some lube on the hinges, they may be a bit sticky. When you open by hand and lift it can you feel anything as the tailgate goes up (not under power)
  23. Is the fuel getting into the cylinders?
