  1. I should think that cage will be ok as it keeps the dog away from the driver, which is all the rules state as far as I know.
  2. I have the 3.3 limited xs, it has full system in the back plus a separate control in the roof to control fan and temp. So I guess the answer is yes they do come on UK versions, My advice would be find a limited that's being broken for parts.
  3. Always been amazed at the little amount of power they managed to squeeze out of such a big block but having driven it for 2 years I'd say any more power would be quite dangerous, without major improvements on suspension and handling. they just don't handle well enough for any more power. My opinion is it's just best to sit back relax and enjoy the journey :-)
  4. I wouldn't bother the Sat nav system is so outdated, don't even think they have made an updated disc for years
  5. Long shot but try an industrial parts supplier, probably won't have the exact part bit may have something close that will get the job done
  6. At a guess I would say most car parts shops would do something similar,or at the very least point t you in the right direction.
  7. Those are the type I have, fitted before I bought the car. Only complaint is they are a little wobbly on the back end. My guessis it's due to mine model being a stow and go and the rear brackets are not the correct ones
  8. I might be wrong but that sounds totally normal. When you put it in park and take your foot off the brake there will be some movement.
  9. When you say "shakes" do you mean rocks forward or backwards? Is it a new problem or been happening for a while?
  10. Could be something as simple as a sticky throttle cable. Does it only happen when your driving or does it do it when stationary too?
  11. Metallic Silver, 06 plate with headlight washers
  12. Cheers Mike, will look into it. Not desperate for it, just looks tatty. Have to keep my eyes out for one in the right colour save messing about.
  13. @@mikebh8 I need the bumper for my gv Was only a little shunt @@bignev, was my brother in-laws passat. Most damage to mine due to his towbar going straight through the bumper. Small crack in his rear bumper.
  14. Had a bit of a coming together with a passat and need a front bumper so Anyone know of any good breakers/shops. Preferably in the West Midlands area (unless they post) Thanks in advance
  15. I have the petrol version but as I remember I also found the passenger side a bit of a pain. Struggled to get it undone but then I found a small access hole as I was putting it across together. You do need to get right underneath to see it though.
  16. I have the same system as nev but having looked around for a second (extra) screen for mine I know there is quite a few different types, this is probably the reason some system need the remote and other don't
  17. I use an app called filllpg maybe not the best but it's ok, prices updated by users so it only as good as its updates. I've found old fashioned maps don't update very well :-D As said before though, forward planning is key to a long journey and finding cheapest prices.
  18. As you say just needs a little planning and a decent app to find cheapest stations. I certainly wouldn't want to run mine on petrol only!
  19. Drivelpg.co.uk looks like a pretty good site to use give a fair amount of information. I don't know much about the different systems, not had much to do on mine other than change the filter every year and keeping the ignition system in good order. Lpg is less efficient than petrol, so fuel economy and power will be slightly down but it's not noticeable in these cars and the price difference more than makes up for the economy difference. Almost makes the road tax easier to swallow k owing you pay less tax at every fill. Having lived with it for a couple of years and doing below average mileage, I would say 100ltr of tank on mine is just enough. Any less and you'll spend a lot of time at the pump(no fun in the cold weather) PS. I get about 70ltrs max in mine, they don't fill to max due to safety requirements I think.
  20. I have an 06 on lpg, currently paying 48p/ltr direct from lister gasses, I try not to use petrol stations if possible as prices vary so much. I brought mine already converted so can't help with conversion places sorry. I have 2 50ltr tanks on mine, tucked away in the void where the middle seats should fold into. It means I can't stow those seats but I keep the boot space which is far more usefull. I can get around 300 mile range on the gas, depending on driving conditions of course.
  21. I've not heard of that before, definitely can't remove the key on mine.
  22. I shouldn't think it's anything to do with the abs sensors. Best suggestion would be to take it to a good auto electrician to get it diagnosed, could save a lot of time and money.
  23. Does it make any noises when driving it, or is it just on full lock
  24. Yes you can, I run a cheap media player through the av sockets, run power from cig lighter, works a treat, plays films off USB also slot for sd card. Off the top of my head it only cost 15 squid. I have posted oh here about it before but can't find the post at the moment.
