  1. Thanks for all your help Nev, feel a bit stupid now, turns out it was trapped wind added a bit more water it had a big 'burp' and hey presto the heaters started warming up.
  2. That's what I thought, it was running for about half an hour, changed over to gas but the radiator and cap was still cold was still cold. Should the water level be up to the top of the radiator when you take off the rad cap?
  3. No joy, still the same. No heat from heaters. Temp gauge is around the halfway mark. Should the top cap stay cold when the engine is up to temperature?
  4. Cheers Nev, that's what I was hoping was the procedure. Had a quick look at the Haynes manual and it started on about draining the system. Thought that was a bit excessive!
  5. Silly question, is it possible to change the thermostat without draining the system?
  6. Doing a long run (mostly on petrol) almost brought me to tears, scary how fast the fuel gauge moves!
  7. No joy, topped up the coolant, took it on a 100 mile run. Slow to switch to gas and no warm air from heaters. After about 20 miles m/way driving it started misfiring on gas. Had to manually switch it to petrol to carry on. Confident its not the gas system because of the heaters not blowing hot at the same time. Could it be a blockage in the coolant system?
  8. Been busy and believe it or not I've had no problems with the bus (touch wood) even sailed through the mot with no problems! I honestly haven't checked anything as yet, it's not long started playing up. I will check the levels later. Cheers as always for the advice
  9. Bignev you may be able to help, Ive got a similar problem, cold heater and it won't switch over to gas. Temp gauge goes to about halfway It is an intermittent problem all works fine one day and then plays up the next. Kind of thinking the thermostat might be sticking

  11. Do you have white smoke coming from the exhaust and a really strong smell of petrol? Only ask because that was what happened to mine when the coil went down. But it did also throw up a misfire fault code too
  12. Might be wrong but doesn't it have to be declared as a right off when being sold, I'd go and get your money back!
  13. You are correct running lpg uses a lot more power so the ignition parts take a beating. I had similar problem a couple of years ago, changed coil, leads and plugs for top quality parts, ( I think there are specialist lpg plugs on the market now) not had a problem since
  14. I think all voyagers are fussy about their batteries, there are just so many electrical systems on the things. Will it start with jump leads connected?
  15. I have had a similar problem but it happens quite rarely and only under hard acceleration at motorway speeds. I would guess it's a problem with the pump not supplying enough fuel so it switches back as a safety. Probably best to take it to an lpg specialist to have the system tested thoroughly
  16. Good news Yes it's a pressure gauge not a fuel level gauge so it never really gives you an accurate level on how much you have left. Mine can go from full to empty in a matter of a few miles, then other times it will show as almost empty and last quite a while. You'll learn to reset the trip after every fill up, that will give you a better idea on when you'll need to fillup.
  17. I have 2 50ltr tanks one in each of the middle seat wells (stow and go) I can just about get 300 miles out of it on a long run but short journeys will get about 250. Most I've managed to get in mine is around 70ltrs of gas, all depends on the filling station and air temp etc.
  18. Yep mine had the same problem, got actuator same as in nevs link, cheap from China looks exactly the same as genuine. Only problem I had was the small screw access hole was missing in the door frame so I had to drill a new hole. Did the job 2 years ago and still worked
  19. I'd guess looking towards the US for ideas would be the best idea, maybe some sort of airbag system. Would be good as you could then drop it right down for getting in and out, then raise it for comfortable driving
  20. Does look high on the back end. All I can think of is it's been stiffened up on the back to help stability with the extra weight of the equipment you have fitted. Anything is possible just depends on your budget.
  21. My tanks are in the middle seat Wells so fairly central, there is no noticeable difference in height from looking at other gv's, only difference is I put the tyre pressures up slightly to compensate for the extra weight
  22. Do you have the headphone symbol on your headunit? , I found the screen wouldn't come on until that was on. I have a similar problem with the volume but I believe it's something to do with the memory rather than the dvd player
  23. Both are easy to change, I'd start with the resistor as it's cheaper and easier to get to
  24. Same here on my 3.3 lpg. Not the most intelligent autobox in the world
