  1. Hi Shifting to 3 is safe at speed it's a bit like using the kick down but using L I would advise from stationary as it uses 1st gear for a long time then shifts to second. It's almost like a get you moving gear but not at speed.

  3. Hi Definitely the battery had very similar problem new battery fitted never had a problem since. Turns out battery had just died due to being quite old charged it ok for a few days then same thing again rac confirmed battery.
  4. Hi all Been having similar issues with starting first thing then once warm an absolute pig to start. Tried 5 maybe 6 goes to get the engine to start until today and as many previous posts changed the fuel filter & hey presto starts first time every time old filter was clogged with what I can only describe as gunge also had the engine decarbonized & not sure yet if it makes a difference only time will tell.

  7. Hi all I have a 57 plate 2.8 crd & want to change the pollen filter inside the cabin. I know where the filter is & how to remove it but the problem I have is replacing the old filter with a new one. Which filterbis the right one? I have measured the old filter but on eBay & Euro parts the filter they say fits is a different size someone please help me. The size fitted is 301 x 200 x 23 the one they all say fits is 308 x 236 x 23.
  8. Hi I'm sure there was a post on here with similar issues turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator valve. Got to be worth a shot rather than spending hundreds getting the injectors checked they are about £40 on good old eBay. Mark

  11. I just bought a syphon pump from halfords £3.99 (hand pump one) empty the header tank first then do the thermostat.

  13. Hi all Did the battery mod & in line thermostat fix 2 weeks ago. Wow what a difference especially the battery mod starter whizzes round on a morning & car starts much quicker & thermostat fix puts the pre heater light out so much sooner
  14. Well I was only going by the description & that said has a 10mm centre hole to fool.the ecu in to not throwing up any codes. If that works on not I don't know but would be intrested to find out.
  15. Hi Did you get the one with a small 10mm hole in? As that says no codes thrown up as it fools the ecu.
