  1. Hi there thanks for all your help. Finally sold my Grand Voyager. I will not be buying another. Sold it in perfect working order. So i will not be appearing on this forum gain. Just one mention, if you still own one, take out AA BRC OR AA WARRANTY This covers all electrical and mechanical faolure. I had over £2500 claims from Injector trouble, EGR COOLER, GLOW PLUG RELAY, BATTERY FROM MAIN DEALER, CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL and CLUTCH,NEW WATERPUMP AND TIMING BELT. THEY EVEN COVER FAILURE OF LOWER ARMS. So goodbye.
  2. Yes mk2 looks the best. Question was about opinions about which one looks best.
  3. Had mine done under AA BRC. INC NEW CLUTCH, ALL I PAID WAS £110. AA PAID £465. CHEERS.
  4. Dear all Diesel owners, At some point your injectors will need replacing soon. Symptoms are: Taking a long time to crank and then not starting Misfire after starting for a short while Randomly stalling orvengine cutting out. The other parts of the fuel system such as lines, pumps, and anything else are pretty solid and should last the lifetime. If you want to buy one, pay the premium of finding one which have all these parts replaced as the car will have at least another 60k trouble free. They are the best 7 seaters. Nothing comes close to ride and seat comfort for drivers and passengers. Once you have injectors checked and replaced, then use a diesel cleaner or premium diesel. I have had the trouble of having new injectors done and the results are startling. Magnificent mpg 33 and 40 mpg average.......
  5. Hi there many long replys. Mine did that, if you have AA BRC then your car has two underlying faults. Glow Plug Relay One or More Injectors. They are both covered by BRC. Cheers.
  6. Fuel filter is the cheapeast starting point. But it will probably be injectors.
  7. You need injectors checking! Peopke should realise that if thier grand voyagers start spitting, stuttering, misfiring or stalling, its going to be injectors. The fuel pumps, fuel lines are all tough. Its the injectors....designed to last 80 to 100k.
  8. Depends on when you are filling up. Normally when the light comes on you have 9 litres (2 gallons). So when you fill up from that point 60 litres will max it. If you fill up yo the filler cap you will just about get an extra 5 litres in it. Cheers.
  9. These cars suffer injector failure. If you replace one injector with a new one, pretty soon the imbalance of the pressure will cause the other 3 to fail soon. Brc will pay for injectors.
  10. Thought id ask some owners which one they thought looked the best from the outside? Personally, i think the mk2 version looks the best. Any other opinions? Cheers.
  11. You have a break in the wires. I lived with it for years. The ecu sends a signal for the cooling fans. By all means check the relays. But the chrysler specialists in enfield fixed it within minutes of diagnosing it. They have the proper scanners. Others just cannot scan these vehicles. Check with ACD as well if you wish. Cheers. I have had so much work done on my chrysler, and come to the conclusion that only someone with the proper doagnostic machines for chrysler will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong with these cars. Something which waas backed up by the aa patrol.
  12. Hi there is a chrysler specialist in enfield where they have the correct diagnostic kit to determine your injectors. The only way to be sure is a leak back test.
  13. Hi there and where do you live? My mechanic charges £170 inc coolant plus kit and waterpump equalling around £290.00. Thats the cheapest anywhere i believe. I can give you his number if you wish. But he does recommend the waterpump bought from main dealer.
  14. Thing is i waited for mine to eventually breakdown. It did on a really long drive just 66 miles short of inverness. It just wouldnt restart. The garage diagnosed an injector. Brc paid. Then a few months later another two injectors failed. Aa brc paid for them again. I think you have to just wait untill the car starts misfiring and will shut down every few yards. Thats the time to call aa. They will cover it but like you said only when you keep stalling. You wont be able to claim for the first 15 days. But make sure you have service records as they can object to paying if not serviced at least every 6 months. Its excellent cover for £19.00 pet month They have shelled out over £2000 on my car in 2 years. Its fantastic cover anf these cars need it.
  15. Hi the problem is with your injectors. Mine did this and eventually the car kept stalling. Took it to garage they diagnosed 3 injectors. 4th one was eventually replaced. I would replace all 4. Aa brc covers injectors.
  16. Hi there. I think you need your car scanned. Possibly maf sensor. Chrysler specialist in enfield have a full diagnostic machine and know these cars inside out. They have solved my cooling fans being on all the time and a few other things.

  18. Grand voyager purely for space...nothing beats it for seven seat comfort and space. Excellent long distance cruiser but annoyingly very costly for parts.
  19. Hi you have an electrical fault. One of the wires going into the ECU has severed. Cost me £70.00plus VAT at Jeep Chrysler Specialist in Enfield, north london. They have the full diagnostic kit for Chryslers.
  20. Injectors....mine did that ...it was due to injectors. You have a leaking injector....please take it for a leak back check. Cheers.
  21. Injectors or a faulty turbo. But turbos are strong on these. Could be the actuator.
  22. Injectors...injectors....injectors.... Get AA BRc, cover up to £500 per claim! Eventually they will give up the ghost and your car will start to randomly stall. And then it will be difficult to restart. Thats exactly what was happenning to mine. Try second hand injectors from ACD. Cheers.
  23. If it was air flow sensor, car would drive sluggishly, as if no turbo.....butvwould not stall.....i think it could be injectors....most probable cause....
