Well then looks like both judders are related. Check breaks on a hill with drive in neutral and no judders. Just had car to a transmissions specialist an sounds like torque converter issue. Described as judder going over a cattle grid. Basically described as having a manual in the wrong gear and it starting to stall because the torque converter or torque controller has an issue. Just got quote of £650+vat for converter bet it could be controller related.

Hello has anyone got an ideas before I call to the garage what could cause the following. Getting a judder through the peddles in second gear I think at low rpm 1000-2500 between 30-40mph. Second is vibration on the front during hard breaking. Pads and disks were replaced 6 months ago for EBC ones with no issus. This vibration under breaking started a month ago, could it be anti roll bar rods? Any ideas would be great

Yes I have the 2.8. Rhs attached to the throttle body. Unclipped the metal hose from the bottom of the egr valve and removed the 4 cap heads holding the throttle body to the inlet pipe if I remember.

Thanks daz, yes only revs to 3000 in park. Sounds like a safety feature. The smoke is black and is bad at acceleration. I am thinking this is why my mpg is crap at the moment as stuck around 28. I do 40 miles a day, 6 miles on B roads the rest motorway at 55 -65mph

Hi I have had my Grand voyager for two years now and Love having an auto with loads of space. I have had from day one smoke in rear view mirror on acceleration 3000 revs and above. If I keep the revs steady at 3000 the smoke reduces during acceleration time At tick over no smoke ! Revs when stationary No smoke and engine will only rev to 3000 is this normal ? A number of garages have fobbed me off and told me all Diesel's smoke on acceleration Being and engineer its bothering me Started Reading Online for possible causes. I have removed the EGR valve / throttle body and cleaned. It was very carboned up. Tested using a vac pump the valve moves Any Help Please. Am I on the right lines ???

Hi i got my new stalk from the US from Rockauto arrived in 7 days. Easy to fit 3 screws out of bottom cover and remove. Two cross head screws and unplug cable. I have had My EGR valve off and cleaned it a while back. I is accessable at the front right. What are you simptons as I am having smoke in rear view mirror at 3000 revs ?
