Hmmm, my 2005 facelift doesn't, but the 2002 does. Different roof vents too.

Diesel Battery Replacement - £500!
bignev replied to BSavage's question in Voyager 5th Generation (2008-2016)
Not so much on the newer version hey! Prolific on the olders though! -
Hey up fella, blooming heck you've had a ruddy tough introduction matey! My first one barely gave me a peep of trouble for 4 years. Then it became a git and is still stood at the drive behind my van a year on!!!!! Yeah I agree on the tyres, scary as hell what some people think (or don't think actually) is fine. If you have round front fog lights it's a facelift. I am guessing it has to be because you mention about stowing the seat, which makes it a Stow n Go version. Only in facelift. To tighten the spare, if you've not found it there is a nut under the rubber floor cover at the front of the floor console next to the (usually pooe) handbrake. Petrol or diesel? You do have to really like them to put up with them don't you! I've not driven ours for a few weeks as it's been getting some repairs and plenty of (Ihope) preventative bits on the suspension, but today went out for a 110 mile round trip with my 2 girls to meet other family. Our 2007 Galaxy is nice, but this was effortless, mega smooth 1st class comfort travel. And I like the line about the taxman with a torch!! When I was a kid it used to be "some bugger with more work".

Hi there Chilli ! Oh no you are not alone!........... I hope I can answer a couple of your points The sliding door tracks are quite hard to find, I've just been through it with mine after my electrical soldering skills were tested and failed. Twice. If yours is the facelift model, there is an extra crash sensor on this loom, located at the back of the door opening, green flat ish plastic, so the earlier loom won't do the job. I bought a new one from the US, from moparwholesaleparts.com but remember it's either a Town and Country or Dodge Grand Caravan on there. The bad news is they are around the £100 mark each. On the central locking it's most likely the actuator, ebay, from China, I believe the record is under a tenner. Not sure on the radio one, but starting and spluttering if it's diesel may be linked to a faulty fuel pressure / non return valve on the rail. Not quite holding enough fuel pressure to keep it going first try. Battery / amp etc unreliable - it's a Yank Tank......... The dials sweeping are an pointer to a low battery charge. Satnav - no idea I don't have the discs, someone said recently there is an updated one, but I'd feel a stand alone unit would be a better bet now. They are a heavy bus, so at 12 years old it isn't impossible the front shocks have had enough. The rear shocks will be much larger diameter than a standard unit if they are the "nivomat" self leveling ones. If you can see a yellow sticker with "Sachs" made in Germany on it and a part number 04743234AA then they should be. Good luck mate, they are a fantastic bus if a little bit of a pain in the toolbox.

Excellent! My usual experience with O rings (on water) is somewhat less positive normally!

No worries mate. And there are quite a few of us on here who are pretty good at fixing them. And some are more adventurous than me!

Adapter For Stereo 2006 Crd Grand
bignev replied to karmannski's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi there! Only a suggestion - don't do it - heading for major headache and heartache, they are a nightmare because of the amplifier and speaker system. If you have the AV plugs on the front of the DVD player I would suggest a lead adapter to this. I know some of our other guys will chip in now, and plenty of them are better than me on some of this stuff! They have more time and perseverance than I do nowadays. -
Hi pal and welcome. Nope you're not being thick, I tried it too, they are weird in that the bench seat will fold flat backwards, but not forwards!!! But I am sure I saw a photo of one perhaps on autotrader that was folded forward, or maybe i dreamed it......

Perform Service Message
bignev replied to Victorthevoyager's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Hi there! It's done with the functions on the overhead display at the front. I can't remember accurately but go into the menu, go along till you get to service interval, then reset to another km / mile range, if you have a handbook it's in there somewhere (probably I think!!!) -
Snap Drive Shaft = Hole In Autobox!
bignev replied to nitrowarrior's question in Voyager 3rd Generation (1996-2000)
Hi pal, there should be no problem at all with welding a patch on the outside of the cover, so don't panic! -
Location Of G100 Ground - Abs Problem
bignev replied to Argee's question in Voyager 4th Generation (2001-2007)
Jolly marvelous pal! -
Hi there and welcome! I suggest you post this in vehicle help, not personally had problems with the fronts (yet) but the rears are commonplace.

Front Brake Callipers
bignev replied to KernowSteve's question in Voyager 5th Generation (2008-2016)
Well unless there was a safety recall on all the vehicles fitted with those calipers I would think the warranty company could be on a loser there. In who's opinion were they a design fault? manufacturers change / update things constantly. And then again, it could be suggested they are more maintenance / wear and tear than a failure on an 8 year old car? -
At the risk of sounding "smart" I suppose you could always try it...........
-
Well persevered there, a good result as you know they are as good as they can be, which is sadly not all that good usually!!
-
Try batteries in the remote and make sure it's the right one. The buttons light up if the batteries are good.
-
Hi there and welcome! People generally are more chatty on the help sections, as for some reason we look at them more often!

Bit of a bugger that hey, and bloody inconvenient possibly depending on if / when it decided to cock up again, or unsafe. But quite typical of lots of places, plug it computer says no, oh it's ok then!!!!!! The loss of real skill dismays me. In the workshop car park for most of the day then 5 minutes on the ramps. Yep I do have a downer on "workshops" rather than good old garages, including / especially main dealers. My neighbour has worked for a Ford main dealer for 20 odd years and even he is guilty of it.

Good one! Did the handbrake shoes go on and work alright - seems to be another point of trouble that does on these. My first one included.
-
My "middle" GV had a similar problem, never got to the bottom of it - but it was like that when we bought it. I tried a new tailgate ecu, and a motor, and it worked for a day or so. Can you open it by hand when it's unlocked - as in does the cinch motor release on the handle button, ours would do that. They have resistance sensors when opening, and pinch sensors when closing.

Is that the right remote for the radio? Or is it for a newer one? As Semmysonic says ours are different to that, with the headset / power button top left to switch on the screen I'm guessing yours is like mine - this one Semmysonic: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/chrysler-voyager-dvd-remote-control-/322478383134?hash=item4b1535a01e:g:MyAAAOSw3utY6nU- Same head unit, but different 6 disc loader, and different screen as mine the stow n go with the rails.
