  1. Mines the stow n go so the dvd screen is on the rails, multi changer 6 dvd loader
  2. Welcome! Looks a tidy motor that - from that angle anyway!
  3. Yes it is a pain - when I'm shouting at the kids "is it on then" cos I can't see the bugger but can hear it alright!! Spotted a second hander on ebay a while ago and still wanted £40 I think!! From the Mopar USA site a selection of part numbers could be 5094043AB, 56043231AA, 5082013AA, 5094043AA
  4. Hee hee thought a few of you would have a giggle at that! There isn't any charge to register with them to search for stations by the way. BRC is supposed to be good, but as I say our "economy" LPG TECH has been great, I wouldn't say one is better than the other from driving both of them experience / point of view, and no better mpg. So if the installer is close enough and offers other systems as there are quite a number of options, he should presumably not want you back frequently for free work to put niggles right, no wages in that hey! And doesn't look good either.
  5. Yep, you're right, you need the remote - as far as my car would be concerned anyway!!
  6. Nope me neither!! go-autogas do an actual old fashioned map, batteries never go flat lose signal or anything!! And you can download the LPG fillers and installers to a sat nav points of interest, got them on my Tomtom and the wifes Garmin, works well. One for Navman too. There is a charge but I reckon well worth it, the site gives prices updated by us real users. £12.95 for the map and unlimited satnav updates for a year. Or only £6.95 for the map and one download.
  7. I thought that a small tank would be a pain too and it could be ((80 litres both of ours) but when you see people at the pumps putting ten and twenty quid of petrol or diesel in then it would probably work out for them hey!! On a long run a bit more forward planning would be required of course. But well before my car needs a drink I need a coffee, leg stretch for my girls and I and a pee too, so "topping up" isn't usually too much mither for us. I would only get probably 240 miles max from ours, usually at most 73 litres. Still crap mpg hey guys! As you say @@Semmysonic the rest is for safety expansion up to the "blow off" pressure relief value. To leave a vapour level above the liquid level.
  8. I agree with what you say on the diagnostics thing, but it may well need "tickling" in its first few week to get the mixture spot on, but of course they would be doing this not anyone else. See my comment on our LPG TECH system, now just shy of 5 years old and fine.
  9. You are most correct - it doesn't ! I did that too hee hee!!! And checked out wiring through the pillar etc, all seemed ok....... but something isn't, temperamental bugger
  10. Is it stow n go? I have a 50 litre tank where the spare went, underneath between driver / passenger seats. If not then our other standard seat model is an 80 litre tank at the back where the spare was. On getting your money worth out of it, by now you will have a jolly good idea how "economical" it isn't on journeys or round town - 25 or 16 in my case. So just do a few sums - Best case 25mpg at 8000 miles = 320 gallons, at 1.14 per litre £1656.00 for petrol, or at 56p = £813 for gas. Saving £843! And the worse it gets, the faster you save the money of course - 16mpg = 500 gallons, £2588 petrol £1271 on gas = £1317 saving!!!!!! And still cheaper than a drizzle per mile. And smoother and quieter too. Sorry guys.
  11. Hiya @@mikebh8 My door mirrors are out in sympathy with yours, left used to work then stopped, right one recently out too, same thing as yours when battery disconnected for a bit. The sliding door could still be a dodgy wire, I repaired mine on No. 3 a couple of times before surrendering and parting with the money for a new wiring harness / track. No.2 was like yours, ok some days after reset.
  12. If you have 3, and any work, then my suggestion - of the brake light switch at the brake pedal, won't be the solution?!
  13. It quite possibly could be, if you have an electrical multi meter try the button first, it's bloody awkward so it was a 2 man job for me, holding the door open / pressing the button / taking a reading to see if it made or broke the electrical signal. Obviously you need to remove the interior trim first and before that the closing handle. On our third GV (not our middle one mentioned above!) I changed the button as it was duff, for a tested good one, and it still didn't work. So after trying the ecu and a few other bits, it still doesn't. I've got used to it mostly. Like yours - motors open on the remote or button inside, won't open on the handle.
  14. Hi there! Well, our 2005 model mentioned above, has only done about 17,000 miles on gas so far, been sharing the miles with a Galaxy drizzel. Sadly I have no personal knowledge of a converter near you, but there used to be one called Profess who seem to have gone down seriously hill recently according to Google reviews after an owner change from man to wife. Personally I love the petrol LPG running, even if it is still absolutely awful on mpg - but cheap pence per mile! At 56p that's not bad, but certain areas are very much cheaper, in Stockport it's 54 currently, Blackpool was 53.7 this week. Have a look at www.go-autogas.com you will have to register to search but they don't sell your email or bombard with any adds. Some lucky sods in Coventry look like they pay 39.9p !!!! Cheapest in the country! Have you had the car long? I was only going to suggest if not to do some miles in it, as I did, to get a feel for it on petrol and see if any little niggles that have been hidden pop up before you spend the money. Then again shed loads of tidgy bits have happened on ours since, hey ho.
  15. Mine drives (drove - before MOT expired)still fine but only in the "manually" selected 2nd gear or reverse, not short of power at all, super smooth, clean oil, no noises (petrol so you can hear it!) and all gear indicator squares are lit up, it basically doesn't know what gear it's in. So because it cant change gear the engine light comes on regarding the emmissions.
  16. Welcome Fiona! I think Mikes right in that the front / rear washer is the same motor but reverses to change which screen it washes. I know that as when I tested mine for no water at the rear screen I swapped the hoses over. And the other is for the headlights which only work with the lights on. I wasn't sure what makes them pop up though.
  17. Yeah on that car I just put it down the a very worn ignition barrel as the key comes out anywhere! It doesn't have a hole like in the picture or any button.
  18. What's your error code pal? Only because I've got a similar thing on one of mine but its a communication between TCM and PCM so cock all to do with the box itself, sort of sadly as that could have been fixed!
  19. I can on one of our three, but the others only come out where the orange line is. But it caused problems when we first got it till I figured out all the way back was wrong and left lots of stuff live.
  20. I can on one of our three, but the others only come out where the orange line is.
  21. And well yes you didn't put this in the technical help section in fairness to others...... I would have replied the 2.5 stood no chance as I understood they were manual so good job I kept quiet hey. However in recent posts the 3.3 petrol does interchange with minor mods.

    Spare Keys

Hi guys I've had keys and remotes coded into mu Grand Voyager by a mobile auto locksmith, you do not need s dealer and definitely not for a key with transponder.
  23. Maybe it could be the drive shaft universal joint at the wheel end? These are available for around £30 on ebay. Jack it up and rotate the wheel with it locked over and it should be fairly obvious.
  24. Hiya Royboy, Have you had any progress on this? I have had this fault on one of mine for some time, tried another transmission ecu, tested wiring between that and Power Control Module, new earth strap to gearbox, and a couple of other desperate things but no joy on mine. The fault code I had initially was no communication TCM to PCM, then not actually giving faults now......
  25. Absolutely a relief indeed, thanks for posting it's sorted. Another for the knowledge base armoury.
