ametcalfe1989 got a reaction from pdabedford in Stereo Upgrade
    Hi all,
I’ve searched this topic but the posts are from 2015 so I’m looking for a fresh perspective

I have the uconnect REW but I’m keen on having Apple CarPlay in the car but don’t want to lose the OEM features such as the reverse cam and the link to the VES

Has anybody upgraded? And what did you buy?

    Thanks in advance

Tried charging for 12 hours and it went up to 11.9 haha!
Was definitely the battery (thank god for Eurocarparts New Year Sale!). New battery in and started right on up!
The plonker owner before me had swapped the positive connector side to fit a battery the wrong size in so it was a pain in the ass to put right but once connected all was good

Now I'm just hoping for no leaks of the coolant over the next week or so

My parking box was in the rear n/s panel where the jack up bits are stored.

As long as it is thin enough to flow at low temperatures and thick enough to perform satisfactorily at high temperatures where you live. 6L of 5W30 will perform correctly up to -25 degrees C and in 75 big round years of driving I've never seen those temps. Manky filter-change it !

Yeah, without the PDC the Evac is saying "service park assist"

I'll pull up the carpet tomorrow and have a closer look

I've double checked mine and the revs drop only slightly, maintaining some level of engine braking. As well as keeping the engine / gearbox speeds close so when you get back on the pedal there isn't a physical impact as the drive takes up again.
Fairly sure all 3 of my petrols have done the same. And it's the same 41TE gearbox as yours.

After a brief stint with a C4 Grand Picasso. I picked up my new Grand Voyager 07 plate today!
I had the standard Voyager before (a Y reg) so this is a huge upgrade both on stature and in terms of features.

I'm glad to be back part of this great forum!

Sorry just saw this, yes I just used a cheap siphon pump from ebay, similar ones are http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELUXE-SYPHON-SIPHON-PUMP-KIT-MANUAL-PUMP-EXTRACT-OIL-PETROL-DIESEL-FUEL-LIQUIDS-/262809527857?hash=item3d30ab2631:g:hP8AAOSwNnRYfBh6

I found that by pumping out all of the fluid from the expansion tank and squeezing the pipe a few times and repeating to pump out of the expansion tank there was no leakage when I disconnected the pipe to add the inline stat.

    My thermostat arrived today Mon.
I will fit it tomorrow and see the result.
I have 2 Cadillacs and a Chevy van, the heaters are hot enough to poach eggs.
Yank vehicles are never poor heaters. I hope this solves the Voyager problem.

If it takes time to start the engine, there is fuel build up and this will manifest in a small amount of "exhaust crud". Operating the glow plugs twice warms the engine more, thats fine but it points to a minor problem somewhere. Probably the glow plugs failing, or are you in an area of exceptionally low temperatures?

Also on the American Town and COUNTRY versions they actually have the infinity logo on the speaker grills! That would be really bloody helpful on the UK models!
