  1. That's great, didn't realise you could use non-canbus!
  2. Hi Dazandtrace, That kit looks good but it does state that it is 'non canbus' so can't be used on an 05 GV. I have seen other kits that are canbus approved and at a similar price, when I get chance I will put a link up.
  3. That's settled then, I will be ordering 6000K as soon as christmas is out of the way, Thanks all.
  4. I am having problems with my HID lights and looking at them looks like the previous owner just through them on and left the ballasts just hanging behing the from bumper. Because of this the plugs to them have worked loose and the seals haven't worked as hey should and they have become absolutely soaked and are starting to fail. To save time and hassle I am going to get a new kit and fit myself properly, I have two questions on doing this: 1) Where is the best place to mount the ballast for each light. 2) What temperatue bulb have others found to be the best, was thinking of going for then 8000K but have been told that the visable light deterioates once you go above 6000K Thanks in advance. Steve
  5. Hi, I am having this problem also although mine is now permenantly on. I have checked the wiring under the seats and all seems ok, my cruise, horn and radio controls all work so presuming no problem with the clock spring, this just leaves the impact sensors. Any ideas where they are located and how to get them so I can give them a check. Thanks in advance. Steve
  6. I sometimes get this problem, where is the boost pressure sensor? Will have a go at cleaning mine.
  7. Hi Darkchild101, I got the codes by doing the 'key dance' and read them of the mileometer. I am still waiting for the adaptor to arrive so do not know what that will be like. My car is an 05 plate 2.8 CRD Steve
  8. The Engine Management light has gone off on its own! Don't know what caused it. I have ordered one anyway, will probably come in handy in the future.
  9. HI Crispinchurch, I have managed to get the codes off, but need to reset the Engine Management light. Steve
  10. Has anyone brought one of the Bluetooth OBD II plugs off ebay. Was wondering if it is worth getting one and if they are any good. Also, can someone point me to the location of the OBD port on my car (05 2.8 CRD) Steve
  11. Afternoon Everyone, Over the past couple of days I have had a couple of problems. Firstly 2 days ago my airbag light came on and went off a couple of times while driving. On a journey later in the day it came and has stayed on since. Secondly, while out last night my engine management light came on and the car went into limp home mode. I pulled over and switched off for about 10 minutes. When I re-started the light was still on but the car was driving normally. When I got home I did the 'key dance' and the only codes showing were P0100 MAF Sensor Circuit Insufficient Activity which is understandable as the engine wasn't running and P1685 Invalid Key, which from what I have seen on these pages is quite common. I pulled the IOD fuse over night with the hope that it would clear the faults. On checking this morning, both lights are still on and I am baffled as to why. If anyone can throw any light on this it would be greatly appreciated. Steve
  12. Did you get to the botom of this?
  13. Right, just had the DVD out again, stripped it all down and a broken piece fell out of it! I played with wheels underneath, put it all back together and still the same problem. Looks like the piece that had broken is the one thats causing the problem! Looks like I have got to try and source one now. Time to start phoning some scrapers me thinks as the only one on ebay is in america and they are asking silly money for it. Thanks for the suggestion.
  14. Thanks for that will give it a try and let you know how I get on.
  15. Morning all, Whilst trying to see why the DVD player wasn't working in my car I found out it was unplugged! After plugging it in I found out why it had been unplugged. Alternately it was flashing the lights over buttons 1,2,3 and then 4,5 and 6. Has anyone come across this before or does anyone have the audio manual (mine is missing). I have had the cover off the DVD and can see there is a disc in there (not mine) but that is as for as I have got. Any help appreciated. Steve
  16. If the car is in Park or Neutral then it won't rev past 2000 - 2500 revs. It is safety feature to stop you over-revving the engine. Steve
  17. Hi doctorcripin, Found this on ebay, slightly different but still not bad looking: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrysler-300-Chrome-lower-vent-foglight-cover-trim-04-05-06-07-08-09-2010-/201320384378?hash=item2edfa1477a:m:mV73AV5pp14Vf08CY4C-bfQ Also found this, looks identical to the ones in your pic but they are for a Grand Voyager, don't know if they would fit the 300: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrysler-Dodge-Grand-Voyager-mod-2002-2007-FRONT-BUMPER-FOG-CHROME-/141152967489?hash=item20dd5f5b41:g:KboAAOSw0HVWENHY Might be worth contacting the sellers to see what else they do. Steve
  18. It came with it darkchild, just need the remote as that was missing.
  19. Hi, Is there anyone out there that has a DVD remote they don't use for the overhead DVD in a Grand Voyager, 05 plate. Also, does anyone have a rear wiper motor for the same car, must have the wide black plug. Thanks in advance Steve
  20. Afternoon all, I have been trying to get a look at the Gallery but everytime I click the link I get an error message saying I don't have permission. Steve
  21. Hi all, After a bit of advice is anyone can help. I have picked up my first Grand Voyager, a 05 plate 2.8 CRD Limited XS, and I absolutely love it. The car is sitting on 20" wheels with 275/35 R20 tyres on. Was just wondering if anyone knows the pressure I should have in these tyres? Any help gladly received. Steve

    Newbie

Good Evening all, Thought I would introduce myself. Picking up my first Grand Voyager on Monday, a 2005 2.8 CRD with 101K on the clock. Will be on here quiet a bit if I get any problems, fairly useful with the spanners so most work will be done by myself. Hopefully though will be on here more giving help rather than begging for it! Live in Wolverhampton, any decent Chrysler specialists in the area any one know of? Anyway, until next time, have fun!
