  1. Hi QinteQ, Just assumed it should turn off as never had a car with one before. Thank you everyopne for their comments, you have put my mind to rest! Steve
  2. Morning all, hope someone can help with this nigly little problem. On these cold mornings the Aux Heater on 2005 2.8 Diesel comes on as it should. Now I can't tell any difference in the speed in which the engine or interior egts up to temp compared to when the heater doesn't come on (i.e. when the fuel level is below a quarter tank). Also I can be driving for at least an hour on motorways and it doesn't turn off. The temp guage is sitting just below half way so no problems with the thermostat. The only way it will turn off is if I get the car up to temperature, pull over and stop the engine and then re-start and it doesn't come back on. Don't know if this is a common thing or anyone has come across it before, if so is there a way to make it turn off when up to temp? Any help greatly recieved. Steve
  3. When I bought my GV it already had a Parrot installed. I have had the front panel off to have a look and it uses it's own speaker mounted between the radio and the climate control unit. Whe in use it does mute the stereo and the sound comes from this external speaker.
  4. I have 2 brand new lower suspension arms for Mark 3 Grand Voyager. Looking at offers over £50 each, buyer to collect or organise own courier. Any questions please message me.
  5. Mine seems to have sorted itself out, haven't had a problem for a couple of weeks now!
  6. There is one for each and I have got a grease gun and grease, just don't know how much to put in.
  7. Morning all, This coming weekend I will be replacing the lower arms on my car. Making sure I had all the necessary bit and pieces last I noticed a small bag inside the bag containing the new arms and it held a grease nipple. On the underside of the new arm, directly under the ball joint, there is a threaded hole that the nipple fits into. Upon checking it appears the balljoint is fitted dry hence the reason the nipple so you can apply the grease yourself. My question is this, how much grease should I put in? With it all being sealed I won't be able to see how much is going in and it something I have never had to do before! Hope someone can help. Steve
  8. Morning all, I have a problem with my dual zone climate control and was wondering if anyone else haas had similar problems. When I switch it on Hi Auto after about 5 mins it turns the Auto off. After this if I switch it back on it can stay on for anything between 30 seconds and 2 minutes before it turns off again. Is this a problem with the unit itself or one of the sensors? Any help appreciated.
  9. I would presume you can play CD's in it, mine doesn't work so cannot try!
  10. With mine, once you have the route set you can take the disc out and listen to other CD's. Alternatively, if you have it, you can put discs in the multi changer and play from there. As for the radio you can use that at any time, the navigation voice just lowers the volume of the radio when it needs to speak.
  11. Hi Bignev, My feet are size 13 and yes I have got long legs, I am 6'6" so have got the seat as far back as poss, it's just the width of my shoes/trainers that is the obstacle. Was just thinking of cutting about half inch off the left of the pedal, this wouldn't effect braking as the pedal connects on the right side.
  12. Hi Mike, Just had a look on ebay and can't find them now. I got them from Premier Factors, Walsall - 0845 519 0758. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they have still got some. As for the mud flaps, I have got a stow & go and already have them fited. If you know of where I could get a set for the front would be appreciated. Steve
  13. Just managed to get myself a nice little bargain. My lower wishbones need replacing and everywhere I looked I was being quoted around £100 each side just for the parts. After a quick search on Ebay found a local place that was clearing stock and have got both left and right wishbones, FAI make for only £26 each! I think they may have a couple more left if anyone else is after them, let me know and will post a link.
  14. Afternoon all, Has anyone with an automatic tried either cutting down their brake pedal or installing a smaller one? The reason I ask is because I have fairly big feet and I want more space to the left of the pedal so I can rest my left foot out of the way. At the moment I can get my foot down the gap but when I press the pedal it catches against my shoe. Any ideas anyone?
  15. Light delivered and fitted, look fantastic. Thanks for all the advice.
  16. 55W it is then, all ordered! Many thanks Dazandtrace
  17. Right then, ordering my HID's today, do I get 35W or 55W? Advice needed please.

  20. Hi tomada3, the airbag ECu is behind the centre console - ² Occupant Restraint Controller - The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is also sometimes referred to as the Airbag Control Module (ACM). The ORC is located on a mount on the floor transmission tunnel just underneath the instrument panel center stack. If you need a diagram let me know. Steve
  21. Might be worth given your EGR valve a good clean too. Had this problem with a Mondeo Diesel, took the EGR valve off and it was almost blocked with black crud. Cleaned it all up using Carb Cleaner, put it all back and only had the slightest 'puff' of black smoke on acceleration. Looking at doing mine on my 2.8CRD once the weather gets a bit warmer.
  22. My 2005 2.8 CRD also ticks over at around 850-900
  23. Thanks andy, unfortunately I am back at work today so will have to wait until the weekend when I can check it in daylight. Will let you know what I find.
  24. Noticed yesterday that my passenger side rear light was dull compared to driver side. Stripped lights down today and found that I was only geting 6v to the rear bulb whilst I was at it checked front lights and passenger side side light was also only getting 6v. Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this?
