  6. Im using non canbus on my 06 voyager. I also.use a non canbus kit on a 58 mazda 6 with no problems. As both cars dont have bulb failure indication light. So i dont get any errors thats all canbus is for. If you gv has git bulb failure then a canbus kit in the same make is only a couple of pounds more

  8. Hi bignev There are alot out there who think an italian tune up is the way to go lol. Well why would you want to thrash your car to an inch if its life just to blow a small amount of crap out of the exhaust. well the problem is that is only a short term solution. The diesel we buy these days have a small and percentage of bio.which over time causes a wax build up in the system and also crystallisation around injection system. So thats why there are specialists cleaners to help remove these deposits. I use the same as you nev. I also use millers. As it gives back the cetane which is missing from fuel because of bio. So i also get a smooth running engine less diesel knock and a couple of mpg more. Which to be honest the book says 29mpg. Mine does 31.5. So not complaining with that
  9. So you say the bottom line is no manufacturer in the history of man ever recommended the use of a fuel additive, and most manufacturers specifically warn against its use. Best of luck. How is it shell fuels use cleaning agents in there fuel development. And its on all there adverts when advertised on tv. So are we not supposed to use shell fuels

  11. Hi all. Just a quick post about fuel system cleaners. I use bg244 diesel engine cleaner. Or for petrol BG44K. I can highly recommend this product as iv used both products and found good results example quieter engine and smoother and a few mpg more. For more information on this product take a look at Powerenhacer.co.uk They also do many other treatments and cleaners for all applications Hope this post helps others when looking for cleaners that work.

  13. Hi bignev. 6000k are pure ice white. If you ever change from the 4300 youve got in to 6000 you wont go back. But i recommend that 6000k is the maximum you want to go otherwise they turn a purple gay colour. Ill try and put a pic on of my 6000k to show how white they are
  14. Hi ebay is the best place iv put my ballasts in the gap that goes through inner wing. I use 6000k bulb fantastic white light
  15. I domt understand how they can quote for a cambelt and waterpump. As book times are 3.10hrs todo timing belt and they include waterpump change in thats time. Which i had s quote of 420 yesterday from my local indy garage. But if you check out how lomg they book for a waterpump booking time is 7hrs. Plus on top.of that you would need a new cambelt. The quotes are for 2.8 crd 2006

  18. Mine in D at a stand still isnt to bad but what does my head in is the vibration from the exhaust iv had new rubbers fitted. And still does it. But not in neutral
  19. Hi iv had a couple of quotes. Formula 1 auto centre £450. But local independent£451. Both quotes are for cambelt and waterpump. Goon google and use fixmycar.com And you can get quotes from local garages around your locacation
  20. Hi if your system has an amp. Most times you alsoneed a lead from the amp. those can be very expensive.i had a volvo and the system had an amp. So i had to have the standard sot lead which you can get from most motor factors but the amp lead is a specialist item which has to be ordered in. At a cost of £80.
  21. What you might find it could be is that the engine isnt running hot enough so over time it's going to build up alot of crap from unburnt fuel. Get your stat done whether you have an original or the cheaper option in the hose. Once its running at its temperature you will find a lot of difference. I put bg244 diesel treatment in mine and now its ace. No black smoke or anything cold. Just condensation from exhausted on cold mornings which is normal.
  22. Hi darkchild101 Iv got a 2006 2.8 voyager. Mine used to do the same. But since i had the thermostat done a week ago. I dont get it anymore.also have yiu put a cleaner through it. I use bg244.(diesel cleaner) or BG44K (petrol cleaner) and it works
