Deltamike got a reaction from bignev in MOVING OFF AND JERKING
Few things there. What engine & transmission do you have? Jerky take up of drive could be worn engine or gearbox mounts causing those items to move excessively and transmit the movement through the car. Or could be a worn clutch or flywheel. Can you rock the engine back & forth by hand? How many miles has it done, do you know if it's ever had a clutch?
Car should slow down when you take your foot off the throttle due to engine braking, be pretty dangerous if it didn't so not sure what to say about that.
Stop & start failure is very likely battery voltage related so you might have a weak battery, in which case you could try disconnecting it & giving it a proper charge overnight, or maybe the alternator isn't fully charging it so either way be worth checking the battery. With the car off it should be 12-13V, with the engine running around 14V. These cars are of course Lancias made by Fiat, nothing to do with Chrysler, so if you have a look on the Fiat forum there's quite a bit about S&S failure messages.

Deltamike got a reaction from vincey832 in Is the Delta worth it?
Hi Andy
Have to say I absolutely love mine & have no intention of getting rid. Quick, decently economical, cheap to maintain, lovely to drive & not like everbody else's. Mine is a 1.4 Multiair turbo petrol SR model; half leather half alcantara, climate a/c, 17" wheels plus mine has reversing sensors. I don't do diesels so the Limited or the Momo editions were not for me, though I do prefer the Momo's all black interior.
I have changed all the C-word parts to the correct Lancia items (sill plates, headrests, airbag, grille, rear badge, wheel caps, engine cover). You can find mine on the 'Autotrader 1.4SR 16k miles' thread on here: https://www.chryslerforum.co.uk/topic/5020-on-autotrader-14-sr-only-16k-miles/
The Chrysler branding is just a weird / stupid marketing decision FCA made with these & the Ypsilon. They had plans to finally reintroduce Lancia to the UK & Ireland with these 2 models, but with buying Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge etc combined with the 2008 economic crash Fiat bottled it. They rebranded them as Chrysler to fit with the then-established dealer network here rather than set up new Lancia dealerships (planned to be at selected Fiat / Alfa sites). Should never have happened - but worse was done in reverse in Europe when the Chrysler Sebring & 300C tanks became the Lancia Flavia & Thema respectively & the Voyager bus had Lancia badges stuck on it. Vincenzo Lancia must have been turning in his grave!
If you read the thread you'll see mine actually came from Guernsey and so I'm the 1st owner here in the UK. She'll be staying with me for some time yet, if not forever; as a lifelong Lancia fan (I'm lucky to have a mk1 Delta HF4WD as well) there is nothing I would replace her with.

Deltamike got a reaction from Nello in Water In My Spare Wheel Well
There should be a tapped hole right in the middle of the well under a stuck on piece of rubber. IIRC there's a rubber bit underneath as well.
I put the spare wheel & tools insert thingy in from a Bravo, the hole is there for the bolt to clamp it all down.
Maybe the rubber bits have come off & it's water from the road coming up into the well?

Deltamike - I honestly think the Delta's lights are really good - and that's with Halogen Dipped beam.............. you should try driving a Fiat Coupe at night!

Hi Nigel
As others have said, a Bravo back box is fine. This seems to be the cheapest on ebay - £48.51 delivered - just be aware cheap may not mean particularly good quality!

Got home from the rig and the nice people at Swansea have written to me. So right now I am the proud first ever owner of AP12 VXC!
Weirdly the V5 says 'first used elsewhere in the UK', which - if you've been following this - we know is B-S & is what caused all the faffing about in the first place; Guernsey isn't in the UK or EU.
Never mind, tomorrow will transfer the GAS plate over & that is finally that!
