    John, we really need to establish that the battery is good/bad before we go further. Are you a member of the AA/RAC etc? To test the starter you need is simple enough however it can be dangerous if the engine suddenly starts.....could also be a bad earth wire from battery to engine which will cause these symptons.

    Have you tried driving the vehicle. does it perform ok up to 2200rpm?

    What work were you doing to the vehicle beforehand, mind help us diagnose the problem. Basic stuff I know but is battery and connections 100%

    If its #past' the air filter then best to leave it incase the engine sucks in unfiltered air at this point. Some models had an air temp sensor fitted, can you take a picture of this tube and post it up?

    I think there is a screen off function, have you tried touching the screen in the top corners? Otherwise it's back to dealership, could be a issue as there have been quite a few updates issued.

    There 'should' be a card in your car with locking wheel number on it also the dealership should of recorded this number when checking the car before delivery.

    LEDs are more reliable than bulbs, likely probles are external like corrosion or connections at clustet or further up loom. Out of interest has anyone fitted and connected a towbar to car with LEDs?

    Agree.......also leaks are normally from auto sump gasket or the main electrical connector seal.

    Vauxhall had big problems with core plugs blowing out in winter, Ford focus mk1suffered leaking core plugs which caused plug misfires.

    I would check the wiring at relays located on landing panel infront of battery as easily disturbed when changing battery and they will have become brittle over the years. P0340 is cam sensor and cause non-start, has connector been disturbed? (from memory its under engine cover)

    Hi, is the regulator definitely at fault? I don't see there being a difference until the later facelift models.

    Water box? Do you have a picture of this part.

    Can you pinpoint where the noise is coming from? Could be a worn engine mount.

    Hi and welcome From your description it sounds like a crank sensor fault.

    Have you visually checked the 'turret' on top of the gearbox?

    Engine running, air-con on, carefully touch the 2 pipes coming out of the compressor (or along their length) is one warm and one cold? Please be careful when doing this!

    Not very helpful........anyway have you any documentation referring to the satnav unit? If not you could ask your dealer to it off but I doubt they will be bothered to do that.

    Have you enquired at your nearest dealership. from memory they are just over a tenner.
