  1. On the outside they look so generic and a bit gawky, the engine choice is dismal too. A shame really it feels like the fiat brand is slowly sinking.
  2. Yeah well it will take an hour or so I suppose but as they really aren't that essential they are lots on my priority list, next job to run the VX engine again for longer and try to get it vaguely set up right.
  3. can't be bothered with the Delta it has to serve as transport, I'm trying to progress with the Volumex as a priority.
  4. Eurocarparts do sick the right ones you need valeo car specific ones (although they fit quite a few different cars), however you may well find them cheaper elsewhere. As regard to blades hitting reach other you must make sure that the arms are set when parked to align to the small circles marked in the windscreen or they will hit each other https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Chrysler_Delta_2.0_2011/p/car-parts/car-body-parts-and-car-exhaust/wipers/wiper-blades/?485774705&1&ff3d2ed46903c34021bb768c74bb96840286cf1a&000604 I think it's this set
  5. Can't say that I find it an issue myself but would comment though that if its a diesel they don't warm up so fast as the thermal efficiency means less waste heat for heating. The climate control appears to monitor actual heater temp so doesn't pump heat in until it's heated up sufficiently. I do have heated seats though which i suppose help a bit.
  6. I saw a silver one in Pickering on Monday
  7. Hmmm it's supposed to lock but I've never checked mine tbh
  8. It's a symptom of under specifying the damper size then having to make it too stiff in one direction to make up for it. Often been tempted to change to bilstein dampers but their catalogue is so confusing I've never being confident enough that is get the right fit.
  9. I'm on standard suspension which is ok but not the best, the damping on standard set up seems the biggest failing.
  10. I have no experience of them but it was said that the delta handles and rides much better on the active dampers, this could be a retrograde step unless the current dampers are faulty.
  11. Mine are still ok but I think I'll just put lowering springs on of one does go as the price of standard parts is ridiculous I just wish they did ones that didn't lower quite so far.
  12. I think that blue one was sold very cheap on eBay a while back, if it is the same car it was listed at the time with electronic faults which I recall at the time thinking were probably related to the magic parking. (My guess it had a front end hit). The wheels are awful and surely must have been fitted due to damage to the originals (??)
  13. Personally I'm a bit curious about what happened to make them put those wheels on it (given that it's a cat. D ). I'd be doubtful tbh.
  14. The dreaded seat! I really wish it was sliding like the other versions
  15. I used one of those endoscope devices that you can attach to your phone to help me see what I was doing, half the problem is not being able to see the clips etc.
  16. My local garage told me once that they've had the odd MOT failure when halfords haven't got the bulb in correctly!
  17. I think the legend of German reliability is much exaggerated so I was being a bit tongue in cheek about Italian reliability. It's odd these days that the public have very entrenched ideas in their head about different brands that don't seem to be able to be broken, even the VW emission scandal hasn't persuaded the public that German engineering is partly smoke and mirrors.
  18. I think who's owned it and where it was serviced might be more significant than mileage, mine is up to 78k now can't say that it seems much different to when I bought it. Had a new air con rad and the egr cooler other than that just tyres and servicing. It's still even on the original discs and pads. I'm a bit bored with mine now but it's difficult to replace especially as I could end up with something without Italian reliability.
  19. Additionally a faulty battery can cause weird effects on modern cars, it could be something as simple as that
  20. Can't guarantee it will work it's just a suggestion, any fiat agent could do it or it can be done using multiecuscan software
  21. Delta diesels don't have stop start (well 2 litre ones definitely don't, fairly sure 1.6 doesn't either)
  22. I wonder if a proxy alignment would help, maybe the electronics have simply lost communication?
  23. Never really even thought about the clock on mine but maybe because the sat nav will have the time on it somewhere I don't really look? That info screen in the instruments is a bit small really.
