  1. Unlikely to make it, under pressure to visit step daughter in Cumbria and go thrashing both Abarths (she had one too) up and down those lake District roads
  2. It had virtually no MOT, I got the impression seller was getting desperate without seeing it you can't tell but I'm pretty confident mine is way better. It started out at £4200
  3. The part for 2 litre is Suplex 09207, seems pretty good close, possibly identical, to original. These will probably be too stiff for petrol versions or the 1.6. They seem to be standard 2.0 Bravo spec i.e. without sports suspension. That was my only worry that they'd be lower than the back but they are fine.
  4. All done when I've driven it I'll advise how it feels. Springs under £60 the Pair incl vat, it didn't take too long for the garage to change them maybe a couple of hours.
  5. That other one for sale doesn't look as nice as mine even though the miles are lower
  6. Don't like to sell cars unless they are in reasonable all round condition, hence getting MOT before advertising, it feels a bit floppy to drive compared to the Abarth and inconveniently large.
  7. Not advertising until it's got new MOT tbh haven't really had time to get on with selling it plus I'm kind of upset to let it go it's too nice ! The 2 litre springs are slightly stiffer I think.
  8. I've got a broken spring, seems a popular club! Further complicated by mine being a 2.0 but I've ordered some bravo springs, fingers crossed! Will report back. All this expense and effort starting to feel a bit like I can't sell the car!

Not as far as I'm aware of your card missing out you just want to update
  11. Fixed at last! Got a new siren/control unit off eBay different part number but just the tone of the beep seems slightly different £80 as opposed to about £200 from Fiat, didn't want to risk £200 on something that may not have fixed it! The reason for failure of these units seems to be neither battery failure nor damp. The unit is sealed against damp but this has the side effect of holding in very small amounts of corrosive fumes from the charging of the batteries and this corrodes the circuit board. That's the theory I found on the net and seems plausible
  12. You can buy updated maps but they charge silly money, I think you can find a link on the blue and me support site. I've never bothered on mine
  13. I think they are £500 a pair on Abarth!
  14. Difficult question and I must admit I'm surprised at the upgrade on a delta tbh not really necessary as the standard brakes are more than adequate for a family hatch. The discs that match brembo calipers can be two piece and are very expensive, my abarth has them and it makes me want to brake carefully so as to make them last!
  15. I've used barum before, continentals I think? They were good on an MG ZT
  16. I was thinking stuff in general, Delta parts are hugely cheaper there as there seems to be a lot of discounting whereas here dealers give you tiny discounts in mad prices
  17. Yes but I find the asymetric 3 feels really good on the road
  18. 94y is surely higher spec than 94w?
  19. Picture attached production wk 22 2014 !!!!
  20. Well personally I think the Goodyear asymetric 3 is worth the extra it drives a lot better but as I said it's on 18s and may well be set up differently to a 1.6 as well so I may see more difference than you would.
  21. They do have a leather strip and 4 nice alloy holding clips! Thankfully mine came with them already fitted. The list prices of all manner of stuff is crazy but of course I guess in Italy you may well be able to find a big discount
  22. Yes but the tyres in question were on my friend Steve's SAAB and he's Mr mega fussy! Honestly they went ridiculously cracked and weren't old, search on the internet showed this to be very common on current Avons. Conversely I gave him a pair of Avons years ago that he has on his volumex and must be years old and still look perfect, I suspect that standards at Avon are slipping. Actually when I originally got my delta they'd put a new pair of Avons on the front they were ok but were much noisier and less smooth than the Goodyear I've had subsequently I just think the Delta is very well suited to the Goodyear tyres they seem a bit more compliant but still handle sharp asymetrics better than efficient grip but remember I have 18s and the difference may be more noticeable with those.
  23. Mats for £70??? They're about £120 for abarth 595!!!!
  24. I'm not sure what it is with Fiat and their crazy accessories prices! Surely they'd sell loads more if they priced them closer to their supply cost it's the same with abarth bits the prices are ludicrous!
  25. re tyres I'd go for Goodyear F1 asymetric 3 perfect match to the car, having seen what happened to a friend's Avon tyres and then found it is a typical fault on them I'd give them a miss (severe premature cracking of the rubber)
