  1. That lot has made me chuckle. As I was reading it I was thinking, Oh, that reminds me of my MG ZT, or my Rover Tomcat, or my Proton Gen-2, or Seat Ibiza, or Toyota Celica...… (insert random car here). Point taken on the parcel shelf though, that one is a first for me.
  2. Slightly belated. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Saw these on the 'bay. Eibach, so they should be alright. Apparently about 30mm lower than standard. https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/312767531568?ul_noapp=true
  4. I've notced the MFD in mine flickering on occasion. In fact, it was doing it today.

In the end we ordered using the KYB part number. They fitted no problem but are a little "fatter" than the ones that came off. The car is sitting quite a bit higher, but I'm sure it will settle with time. In fact, I actually wouldn't mind a little more ground clearance.

My local garage are great but they hit a "computer says no" wall with their usual parts factor as they will only work on the registration number and couldn't see anything listed for Chrysler Delta. Refused to order off a make and model.

Just ordered these. Listed for Bravo II Diesel https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/KYB-Front-Suspension-Coil-Spring-RH3908-BRAND-NEW-GENUINE-5-YEAR-WARRANTY/173746663101?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

Well, 13k and nearly 13 months in, my NSF spring went bang. Luckily just the tail at the bottom so I was able to limp home. Would I be correct in thinking the KYB springs Gafis mentions would be correct on my 1.6 Multijet SR?
  9. Yeah, as you say shame it's not and SR or Momo, but the full sandstone leather really ups the ambiance of the cabin IMO. A set of 17s from an SR and that would really look the part. Also a shame they only offered an auto on the 1.6 diesel, I may be looking for a slushbox in a couple of years If my dodgy right knee gets worse.
  10. This popped up in my Autotrader searches yesterday. All the money, but a lovely looking car. The beige leather and trim really does brighten the interior up. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201910313883130?sort=datedesc&make=CHRYSLER&model=DELTA&advertising-location=at_cars&radius=1501&postcode=g840lq&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&page=1
  11. Mine rolled through 60k recently. Can't believe that's a year and 12000 miles now.
  12. Thanks Mike, I have a sneaking suspicion mine were still original. I suppose I cant complain at 7 years and nearly 60k. Front inner pads were heavily worn, the outers still had a bit of life in them. Rears will probably need doing in the next few months but look OK for now. I noticed there were two different sizes for the pads when browsing online, so took some dimensions before ordering. I also noticed some sets of pads only have the wear sensor on one side, mine has them on both, so passed that on to my local parts store as well.
  13. Well, after whipping off the front wheels and checking, I don't have mis-matched calipers Ordered discs and pads from my local factor on Saturday, picked them up Monday morning and all fitted on Monday afternoon. The only slight downer is that one of the disc fixing bolt / wheel locating peg thingys sheared. First 3 came out with little or no effort, but the last one.... Well, I guess we've all been there. Are these readily available? If anyone has a link, I'd be grateful.
  14. Oh spiffing! Guess I know what I'm doing in the morning.
  15. I need to do the front discs and pads on mine, I see EBC have a kit for the 1.6 Multijet with Bosch calipers. I guess this means there could be different ones depending on the age of the car?

    Cambelt

I had the belt and water pump done in mine; only on 49k, but over due on time; it was a useful haggling point when I bought the car. I did the belts and water pump on a 1.9CDTi Astra Sport Hatch which is basically the same and it wasn't a difficult job, although that was the single cam version.
  17. With you on the Ghibli Neil, its a lovely thing. I've had 4 75s and a ZT since 2003, I had 200s, 400s and 800s prior to that for 20 odd years. This one is a very early Japanese spec, 2.5 V6 with pretty much every option available at launch, including Personal Line leather and Heritage Collection paint. I've been a Britcar guy pretty much all my life. However I have to say the Delta is probably the first car I've really bonded with and want to keep since I first got in to a 75.
  18. No, but voted the most beautiful saloon car in the world - by the Italians
  19. Thanks Mike, I may keep an eye out in Italian eBay for them once I've recovered from the MOT bill for my other car.
  20. Thanks for the info. I have the car in for a service next week, I'll ask them to take a look.
  21. I have a feeling I may have a CV joint on the way out (occasional knocking from the front O/S wheel area when turning). Just something I'm monitoring at the moment. If I need to replace it, are there any differences between the diesel engines? I only ask as there seem to be loads listed for the 1.9 and 2.0 but hardly any for the 1.6. Also, would I be right in thinking that the Bravo items would fit?
  22. Like the look of the sill plates. I was contemplating a set of these: Factory ones would be a lot nicer. What was the damage, if you don't mind me asking?
  23. That's a bit of a bargain, and a great spec too. Same colour as mine, which according to the DVLA is "beige" There's a seller on eBay called Carpassion who seems to have a lot of the exterior badges at fairly sensible prices.
  24. If you can get a decent price on the head rests, let me know.
  25. Great work. I found it a very satisfying process. And yes, biggest improvement is definitely the airbag. I agree on the rear badge. I used the rear wiper as a centre line but initially got mine too high and had to peel it off and start again. Luckily I.always have plenty of 3M double sided badge tape.
