  1. Thanks QuintQ for the quick reply ! Whereabouts should it be fixed ? On the bumper ? Thanks again.
  2. I recently removed the font bumper for repairs and found this sensor hanging down. Can anyone tell me what its for and where it goes? Thanks.
  3. The AC clutch relay has been removed,an the cable goes through the firewall to a switch inside. I don't use th AC so I haven't bothered with it.
  4. Do you mean the A C clutch relay, that's in the fuse box ? The previous owner has made some kind of modification in that area here are some pictures :
  5. Sorry but I think you need to start a new topic. But it's likely to be a fuel issue they're quite common with this vehicle.
  6. The coolant fan starts and stops all the time ! There are no temperature issues and i've been driving with this issue for a few thousand miles. Relay ? If anyone could shed any light i'd be interested.
  7. I cut the battery tray and fitted the biggest battery I could find- it helps !
  8. I'd like to install a fuel lift pump to give the IP a hand, has anyone done it,has anyone of any ideas, how easy/difficult should it be ? What pressure rating should it be ? Where abouts should it go ? Thanks.
  9. P0235 (boost) the turbo and EGR are fine and i've replaced the MAP sensor.
  10. Mine as been starting a bit better first time in the hot weather but if i cut the engine and then go to start again it can be difficult I wonder if vapour pressure in the tank has any influence ?
  11. yes exactly this low fuel pressure problem crops up all across range range of models fitted with the crd. Im thinking of something along these lines : https://youtu.be/BCZR1b-ptXs
  12. I was just about to ask if anyone has added an inline fuel pump to their 2.8. Yeah the primer should be hard all the time. I've just replaced the fuel filter housing/primer with the new updated one and there's still a fuel pressure loss problem going on. A lot of people on the lost jeep forum suspect dodgy fuel pipe connections in the fuel tank region. so a lot of them have resorted to an in line fuel pump either in the engine bay or near the tank,I suspect on our cars it would be easier to do it near fuel tank. Has anyone done this mod ? How could it be done ? what kind of pump would be suitable ? I'm sure this could be a possible solution that doesnt entail much risk or loads of time and money.
  13. ok so it is possible to clean injectors DIY ? Many advise against it but it costs a packet to get it done professionally!
  14. It just started with just a slight bit of hesitation and without any pedal assistance after having been left for 3 hours, but it has been extremely warm here. I've thrown a lot of cash and time at it so far,im just getting stubborn with it now ) next stop:check injectors,an maybe i'll replace the relief valve on the rail just for the heck of it even though I've done the test and it wasn't leaking.
  15. Its been really really hot here in the south of France so I think that's helping,If I try to start without putting any pressure on the accelerator it i'll turn for a few revs and then cut out,as soon as I give it some accelerator during ignition it will start no problem. I've never had to resort to easy start.
  16. Well after 160 quid spent on a new filter head housing, there's no change ! I'm still having fuel pressure issues. I have to hand prime and keep play with the accelerator pedal to start. I must say i don't have much confidence in those fuel hose connectors. Well at least i've eliminated a possible cause. Next i'm going to do an injector leak test, are the any tutorials out there? Do I need to buy a leak kit,or can be done more simply ?
  17. Ok I suspected as much. Mine runs fine as well. I'll have to enquire as to whether the same applies in France;that's where I live.
  18. This question interests me. I've also got the check engine light, due to a boost code but I can live with it and the car still runs. What if i were to remove the bulb or black-out the light on the cluster ?? Would it pass the MOT ?
  19. hi all,i've just received a new fuel filter housing and wiring harness could anyone give me any pointers about installing the mod ?
  20. When I was given my voyager the cam had recently been done but the waterpump hadn't if it had been me I would've replaced it.
  21. How can I be sure that the mileage calculator is functioning correctly? Mine has barely moved ( 17.0 to 17.3 ) ? Any ideas ? My mileage can't be that bad ??
  22. Ok so it did it again for the third time. I went for a good run stopped get some BBQ supplies ? then when I to start -Zilch !! only the lights on the cluster. The suns blasting down my supplies are going to perish. Eventually after much panic and twiddling with the ground wire/plug on the starter I got her running again. I'm awaiting the delivery of my new fuel filter housing so i'm gonna take the starter off at the same time. Maybe i should order new brushes ?? Each time it's done this fiddling with that ground wire has got her starting again.
