  1. Yep. I got one on US Ebay. Cost about £150 including shipping and customs. Obviously you're looking for "Town & Country", not a GV!
  2. Just saw one on the ali express app, actually. Just search grand voyager and scroll a while
  3. FWIW, I just swapped to a mk5 from a mk4 GV. I drove it back to Yorkshire from Brighton with no problem, but when I cane to it in the morning, the battery was dead. I swapped it out for the battery from my mk4, which is still sitting on the drive, but that was almost dead, as she's been sat a good while. I tried juno staying the mk5, but it just wouldn't catch. I was getting pushed due time so I resorted to the old trick of opening up the air filter cover, giving it a quick squirt of WD40, cos the cover and trying it again. Started first time. I don't like doing this, as I feel it can't do the paper filter any good, but I've been doing this for 25 years and it's always worked, lol.
  4. Hey, can I piggy back on this thread with a similar topic? I just got an 08 2.8 CRD. We previously had a 54 2.5 CRD manual. I've never had an automatic before, and it's taking some getting used to; it seems like when I'm pulling away from stationary, I get really high revs as it goes through the first few gears, like up to around 3000rpm. Is this normal?
  5. Thanks Mike, I'll check it out, when I get a chance.
  6. Ah, so a slightly blocked hose can't supply enough when demand is high? Kinda like a heart attack, lol.
  7. Great thread. This is a job I desperately need to do - all my bushes are badly corroded/degraded. I intend to replace the anti roll bar bushes AND the links. One question: do I need to somehow take pressure off, before undoing the bolts (ie by jacking the car up? I worry about undoing something I can't put back!
  8. 2.5d limited Bought last week for £2,200. 91k miles. Loving it, all the nice electric doors, leather seats, etc. I did leave the handbrake on yesterday and drive a few miles before I noticed the stink! A powerful handbrake wouldn't let you do that, but I know this model is notorious for its undersized handbrake shoes and drum. Also, I just put my fingers through the back end of the outer sill, which was a surprise, seeing as the garage had it MoT'd six days ago! I guess I'll need to weld it at some point sooner, rather than later... otherwise, it's perfect for us, a family of six, including two strapping teenage boys, who are both bigger than me now!
  9. Hmmm, I was reading this thread only yesterday thinking 'what a nightmare' then today, on the motorway (same engine: 2.5 diesel), I was overtaking at just over 75mph, going uphill, giving it maybe 2500-2800 rpm and the engine warning light came on, along with significant loss of power. I put the clutch in immediately, the light went off, and power was available again. I then drove 300 miles, going between 55 and 70mph, with no repeat of the episode (I didn't thrash it again though, lol). I wonder if it's related to your problem?
  10. I'll have to go and look in the garage - it was given to us by my brother in law, when we bought our Galaxy, years ago. He had recently sold his Galaxy and had the roofbox and bars in an out building, assembled. We just attached the whole assembly to ours, without ever looking at it too closely, lol
  11. Oh, ok. I didn't really know that I'd be able to use the existing bars. So I can do away with the Thule bars and feet altogether then?
  12. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Chrysler-Grand-Voyager-Towbar-01-to-08-Tow-Bar-E8704BUN65/282239652338?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649 how about this one - its what I'm going to fit to my '04
