  1. Hi Having spoken at length with the 'parts person / service technician supervisor et al' ..... My car has not got cornering headlights .... ..... so <query> why no blanking information for continental driving. Also included in conversation - treat the accuracy as limited unless confirmed by someone in the 'know'... No cornering headlights on UK models (? especially with comment from @Mention) Yes cornering fog lights are included in UK models No run flat facility on UK models (touch wood - I'm in the Scottish Islands next week) No pressure monitoring on UK models for tyres No available in print manuals for the horrendously difficult to use Sat Nav system - although its available in English, in Italy (no wait for Jeep supply) but you cannot order direct, as they only sell via a dealer for 200% markup - depending on who you speak too. Does anyone know of an A35 van for sale? :-) Regards Chris Morris A35 Van, Ford Cortina Mk3, Ford Cortina Mk4, Fiat Uno x 2, Fiat Punto, Fiat Tipo, Fiat Bravo x 2, Fiat Stilo, Fiat Bravo, and now ... 2. Twin tail piped C Delta cruised with me, in the traffic queue up and passed Aviemore yesterday afternoon. Do I assume he was burning 'essence' rather than 'gazol' - petrol rather than diesel? Quite a nice car, flashed his headlights at my little missy! Chris
  3. Hi The unit is the original Chrysler / Lancia Delta factory unit I have been referred to the following http://aftersales.fiat.com/elum ... etc ... http://tinyurl.com/m7p6lcd But this merely gives the electronic copies of the quick guides already supplied with the car. The part number is 60395490 - costs £13.13 = $18? This is on a back order to 'Jeep' Navteq are uncontactable - original supplier of maps Now home.com - again uncontactable - there is a web form, but, you have to be a business / have a www. to get the web form through Has anyone got an electronic copy? Or can someone give me the rudiments of loading in a sequenced KML file, via the USB? to plan a long journey, without having to dial in all the numbers individually. Regards Thanks for any help in advance Chris
  4. Replaced under warrantee Glad about that - the invoiced price was quite high. Cost me 45 miles of diesel, 3 hours of driving and waiting time (plus two tea breaks for the service technicians) Chris Morris A35 Van, Ford Cortina Mk3, Ford Cortina Mk4, Fiat Uno x 2, Fiat Punto, Fiat Tipo, Fiat Bravo x 2, Fiat Stilo, Fiat Bravo, and now ... 5. Is your turbo air pipe connected? It goes across front of engine 4 inch wrinkled pipework? Or is it loose? Chris
  6. In my previous incarnation of a diesel Fiat Stilo (Bravo - 5 door with a bit more space), I managed to complete just over 98 000 miles on the original clutch. A rally car will have the clutches replaced after 3 to 4 hours wear & tear. Depends on how you drive the car.... Chris
  7. Hi Slowly sorting out my problems ..... Is there a web reference for the standard factory fitted sat nag. I spoke to Chrysler towers help line on friday, and the helpful comment was ''''speak to your dealer'''' Interesting reposte .... I await your guiding answers through the conversion of post codes for holiday into lat / long co-ordinates. Quite a performance - I may even resurrect my Garmin and use that if all else fails. Having to type in 16 characters, two decimal points and a (-) symbol because I am on the wrong side of the Greenwich meridian is far more complicated that postcode & house number. What a p@@@ in the @@@e. Regards
  8. Hi All Had an error warning come up on the Delta dash within a few days of purchase - looks like an 'orange spark plug' ... with 'check LHS turn indicator'. The warning light self corrects if i) you switch the ignition off or ii) you turn on the left hand indicator or iii) if you open and lock the car door with the spare key at the garage leaving the engine running on forecourt. The car went in with my other fault, (cruise control & hill start) but the computer diagnostics download did not have any error messages for this fault. After a hairy trip out, with no left turn indicators at all - the car was taken back to the seller, and referred on to Chrysler for a diagnosis check. (Remembered to take a photo of the dash light to prove the point). It was the third time, I had been back to seller with same fault. LUCKILY this time, the error had been recorded by the on board diagnostics computer, and it turns out to be a faulty rear light cluster. A complete replacement required - even though its just the left turn indicator. Thats the good news. The bad news is the nearest replacement part is in ..... Italy! Ordered, and hopefully here before I venture off on my tour to Scotland next week. [i do not know the error code that has been thrown up on the Chrysler diagnostic checker]. 9. Update on the problem: The Chrysler garage identified the cruise control / hill start problem as a faulty switch somewhere in the computer download. In the garage for effectively 3 days for a little part. Not impressed. Chris
  10. Dear Delta Owners Have just bought a 12 plate, low mileage C Delta in wonderful white - OK it has to be washed more frequently. Cruising along our local dual carriageway, with the cruise control on 68mph....Uphill section and cruise control kicks out. No green light on. When next hill stop is taken, the 'hill holder facility' also kicks in, with the orange warning light on the dash. I have also had 'lamp failure' pop on a few times, but no LEDs or lamps appear to be out. The car appeared to be a good bargain, at the time. Have I bought a lemon - did not see the problems on the internet. Could they be / Are they related or separate events? Work is going to be carried out under the 12 month warrantee - but ???? Also, I believe that I have projector headlights that rotate in the corners. Can anyone throw me a lifeline, as how to use tape to blank off the 'left throw' when I go to France? Mummy & Daddy Chrysler merely state use the headlight adapters - but these will not cope as they are merely 'beam benders' for static headlights.
