  1. A better solution is to fit German ebach Pro coils that are manufactured specially for the delta, the set of 4 would cost just under 200 quids.

I had this fitted without any problems, labour should be about another 100 quids max.

You need to order these yourself online and get them to your local garage to be fitted.

Being a sporty coils, they will lower the car by 30 mm, which gives a more stable ride but no problems with potholes.

All 4 need to be changed.

Much better than the 900 quids theft from the dealer.

And hang on to your Delta

  2. Third Mot for my Delta.

A well built car. Stylish and unique.

Maintenance is fairly manageable thanks to the support of the forum.

I am thinking of giving it a nice polish/detailing as an anniversary present but after the winter.

  3. On my previous Coil springs replacement, my garage managed to lose the wheel nut key. I only discovered that the key was missing when I needed to repair a recent puncture.

To cut a long story short the guys at the garage removed the keyed nuts and fitted normal nuts ( in all 4 wheels), puncture sorted and back on road.

Phoned the dealer, they asked about the key number on the card, was provided and said they will contact me as the key will need to be sourced from Germany...Quoted £ 18 + VAT

Do you think it is worth the trouble and wait to get the key and then put back the special nuts( now in a bag in my glovebox)

or it doesn't really deter alloy thieves ( The garage guys removed them in minutes, albeit with a bit of noise).

    Your Opinion, please

Keyed Nuts? A genuine  deterrent  ? or just a waste of money and Time?

  4. My engine light came up last week, diagnostics identified blocked injectors, local mechanic managed to turn off the light and said he gave the injectors a clean.

No symptoms with driving, engine never hesitates or 'shakes'. I wonder wheather a Terraclean would be a good idea, not only for the injectors, but to give the whole engine a carbon residue removal.

Mine is the M air 1.4 petrol

Do you guys believe Terraclean is worth the 100 quids.

  5. With the weather starting to cool I find this rather irritating with the Delta.

On cold mornings, I get a lot of condensation on the inside of windscreen. Which means extra 5 minutes with the heating on, in colder months this turns into frost that needs scrapping from the inside.

As I bought my Delta second hand I am quite curious of its past and keep thinking this must have been some accident that left the cabin insulation less than perfect, as I never get such condensation with our older much larger cabin french 7 seater.!!

Do any of you share this or I am wright to question my Delta's past.

I just bought a humidity absorbing bag from Aldi for 5 quids that can be microwaved and reused, sits in the foot well, think this might help.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on that one.....

  6. Totally agree... Nitrogen won't make a difference.

By and by, I got my Delta a pair of Primacy 3 Michealan tyres to replace the rather worn out front pair, I got a good deal at the local costco. I think that is in tune with the ones she originally came with (older version primacy).

I have another note regarding tyre noise on the road (mine are the 17 inch). It is rather noisy on the road compared to my wife's French 7 seater MPV. Any body shares the same experience, or is it the lower sit and wider tyres?

I may even start a thread on that..
