  1. Hi guys,

I am trying to decide where to buy spare parts for my next service, i am changing the cam belt with water pump.

This site says they supply originals and i have used them for Selena oil and paraflu coolant. https://www.shop4parts.co.uk

But the kit and water pump will cost over £90

    My usual source https://m.autodoc.co.uk/

Will have brands like gates/bosch/continental for about 60 quids, but there have been reports of counterfeit stuff from china boxed neatly in branded boxes, and you can never be sure on line.

    Any advice?

On more thing, if i am changing the water pump i would think it would be a good chance to drain and replace the coolant. How many litres of the para flu concentrate will i need.

Spark plugs, been around for 3 years, not causing any trouble, do i bother to replace them in the job as well. Ngk vs bosch

    Much appreciated guys

  2. Seems like it was snatched by a local Bristol dealer.

On offer for £6500, seems that it needed little if any fine tuning.

Still on the high end price wise, I wonder what was the the bid for which it was sold at.

I guess the dealer will easily put a grand up for his profits and expenses...

    Do you agree guys...

This site provides a helpful chat service, get your vin number ready so that they can verify the set would fit the exact trim of your car. Should not vary to be honest between trims.

You get free shipping to UK within a week on orders above £150,so it's basically your best bid.

All 4 needs to be changed to get an even lowering.

My local garage had no problem fitting them.

Springs and suspension corrosion on Lancia and alphas has always been a nagging issue.

  4. Very expensive if originals.

Mixed opinion regarding the fit of Bravo ones, can't guarantee.

Personally, I bought a set of 4 eibach sport springs, that eibach makes specially for the delta. The lower the car by 30 mm, supposedly giving a more sportive ride and less roll.

The set of 4 cost around £ 150.

I will try to provide links in next strings.

  5. Job done!

Managed to source a delphi brand suspension arm that fitted well, from auto doc, I gave them the vin and they came up with a list of oem parts, readily available and delivered in less than a week from Germany . Delphi brand is spoken highly of in Alpha Romeo forums.

Took an hour of labour, wheels tracking, and back on the tarmac.

Another Seamless job on a Delta.

Total cost inclusive of labour and parts about £120.

  6. Hi guys I need to source a Left side suspension arm (track control arm).

During that last freeze I managed to skid and ended up banging the left front wheel into the kerb. That left the wheel about a centimeter displaced backwards with friction with the arch on turns.

I thought I would get away with

wheel alignment but when I got it checked I was the suspension arm is bend and needs replacement.

Any advice regarding which parts to get. I looked up Lancia's on that firm I used to get parts from (based in Germany, fairly good quality products). It came up with a dozen of options with little variation in price.

    Any advice.

  8. Hi Dorian and welcome to the club.

I fitted ebach sports springs as a quick fix for a damaged spring coil. It only lowered the car 30 mm, but obviously did not combine that with changing the suspension.

The lowered ride is a little bit more stable in fast corners, but can be a drawback in speed humps and snow especially if you need to fit snow chains...
