    Delta Tyres

I went for the 914's a few months back, not had problems in the last 6000+ miles. Had them on the rear of my MG TF LE500 in 2013 and they did a great job then too considering that is a difficult car to buy tyres for when you want grip.
  2. Not sure if this helps but you could try the Nokia Here offline maps? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.here.app.maps&hl=en
  3. Mine were replaced under warranty by the dealership. The job was an overnighter as they had to take the door panel off and other internal side panels. I had to book it in again though as they did a poor job by staining one of the inner panels with oil, one of the rear door card panels was not clipped on properly, and the curtain air bag panel was loose and potentially dangerous. Just make sure all internal panels look secure again. Unfortunately am having to go back to the same dealership in Northampton again as I got outstanding issues and new issues popped up such as my heated driver side mirror not working, my rear wiper goes haywire when it rains and two of my windows have a mind of their own sometimes, again I think due to getting wet.
  4. Cool, definitely made the difference of getting it sorted. I did notice that after 3000rpm it was struggling, but after resetting the oil light getting to 4000 was very easy.
  5. Yeh I just don't have time to wash it myself so take it to the local hand car wash.
  6. Had to use the wiper again today, seems to be working fine. I do think it was the jetwash, where some of the water must have gotten through the simple rubber seal. Am wondering if adding a thin rubber O ring inside the outer seal would help in this regard?
  7. Hey I got it working, thanks! Basically I was going into the Reset Service options rather than Engine options. And any of the oil reset settings were not working. However the one you said worked straight away. Feels like I got a bit more power coming through too at the top end. I guess the other options probably work on cars without a DPF filter or maybe just totally different models?
  8. Not sure, will have a look later on today and let you know. From memory it seems similar to what I did. Here is the readout from the app, seems like it can sense everything required: Scanning ... 9. Thanks mate! I read a post about providing the info from the app when you press F11, so may post the results of what the software can access. edit: Also any idea on how to change to Miles instead of Kilometres in the multiecuscan app? edit2: To be fair I was able to reset the service light by using a non modified elm bluetooth adaptor. I just thought that I couldn't do the oil reset due to not being modified.
  10. Hi guys, am having problems with anything to do with oil info and resetting the oil light. So far I have bought an extension cable for the obd port on the car as the modified adaptor I bought does not fit due to the size of the adaptor and the location of the port. I have bought this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321522643436 it installed on my Windows 8.1 laptop fine and I can do a few things already such as reset the service light, check for fault codes etc. Using multiecuscan anything to do with resetting the oil it just says Failed..... Any ideas? I have noticed that in the Parameters I can see other information such as when the last service was done but anything to do with the oil like the last oil change and it shows nothing. Am guessing this is related to the same issue. The adaptor connected on COM5 and baud rate 38400, I tried 9600 but it didn't work. Haven't tried any other settings just yet. Any help appreciated as I am a bit lost now! Thanks!
  11. It seems to have fixed itself this morning. Although I reckon that was due to parking it off-road rather than in the drive way as one has more moving air. Maybe it dried it? I can see if there are any problems in the wiring as you mentioned Nello.
  12. Hi guys, I had my car washed on saturday, but today in the rain the rear wiper seems to have gone funny. It doesn't switch off if I put it on, and if it does after about 4-5 wipes then it stops half way. Before that if I switched it off it wiped a 2nd time but that was only temporary. Am thinking water has gotten into it somehow? Anyone had the same problem? Having a quick look at the rubber seal, it does seem very weak with no secondary seal for safety?
  13. Ok have got a reply on the multiecuscan forum. It's the adaptor. Found a KKL USB one on eBay with the 4 way switch adaptor built in so will order one of them and send the other one back as not needed.
  14. Hi there, the garage is willing to pay for the software and adaptors for me, which I explained is a lot better than me paying the dealer. I have bought the software but not having luck resetting the oil light. I get Failed to execute error message. I have a VGate iCar 2 Bluetooth adaptor. Am guessing it's not the right one or I need those special yellow, blue, purple, red cables? Can you let me know? I see there are some modified elm327 adaptors selling on eBay. Thanks.
  15. Will do if I call. Got my Bluetooth adaptor and it does not connect to the ECU Tried it on my friends BMW and it worked with the Torque app and DashCommand for Android. I am not sure if it is the software not able to communicate or the adaptor. So will try to install the demo version of multiecuscan on my laptop to see if that works, making it a software issue rather than the adaptor.
  16. Just a thought, have you checked if your brakes need replacing?
  17. OK thanks, will call them and get a quote. Hoping something in Coventry as might not be able to go to Brum on Sunday if they are open. Will call and find out anyway. Other option is to ask the garage to pay for the software, lol let's see.
  18. Am in Milton Keynes. Although I will be in Coventry this Sunday! Was born there so going to see family!
  19. Hi there, I have the 1.6 Diesel with DPF fitted. That software looks interesting, am guessing it should work fine with a Bluetooth OBD reader and my laptop, could be another way I can reset it, thanks for the info. edit: I was looking at something like this one to buy, seems a bit better quality than say the cheap Chinese ones but not such a high price: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Diagnostic-Vgate-Diagnostics-IPHONE-ANDROID/dp/B00L3A2BJ4/ It is wifi to work with more devices rather than Bluetooth.
  20. Thanks for the post, which Bluetooth reader do you have? Wondering if I should attempt to buy a cheap Chinese one again or not. The dealership quoted £65! - Wish I got paid that every 10 minutes of work!
  21. Hi guys, just had a full service done on my car, the garage did originally say that they could reset the service/oil light, but unfortunately they can't. Any ideas if this is dealer only? Most of the other garages I called for quotes could not reset the lights either. Is it possible to do it with an OBD II reader? I have Torque Pro on my Android phone but my reader died last year and I never replaced it. Could borrow one or just buy one. I did notice the garage plugged in a device in the same OBD II port to try and reset it.
  22. I think I was squeezing them together, which is possibly where I was going wrong. It just says to remove the fitting in the manual which is why I asked if there is a technique or a way to get better access. I will have a go at tackling the problem soon, thanks guys.
  23. Yep noticed mine going through the paint, not as bad as yours though. Will have to paint them and put something to protect them, or put a white sticker like you have.
  24. Had my panels replaced, still need to protect them but I bet they will do the same if I don't. Will look at other panels. Penguin2007 can you upload a photo of the panels you have seen with rust? I can try and protect them before they get worse and anyone else looking at this thread. Thanks.
  25. This seems like a weird question to ask but I want to change my headlights to see if one of the bulbs is faulty from shaking when I drive or I need to get the dealer to replace something. Seems a very tight fit though, any clue on how to change the bulbs? I can take the cap off but taking the metal fitting out seems a nightmare. Thanks!
