  1. Yes agree. I think apart from lowering, 18" wheels look great as it's a big body on small wheels otherwise.

Perhaps the only other subtle mods would be to wrap black the bottom part of the tailgate to match the glass. (Only works if car not black already) and colour code any plastic trip to match body colour.

  2. you're not making it better.....

Ha Spud believe me it couldn't get much worse... You wanna try living with it!

I'm already on eBay daily perving over Alfas, trying to justify a weekend toy!  :P

  3. You ever hear of a permanent black marker????

Fart in a tin???? Says the fella who sold his Delta because he bought a . . Fiat . . Shall I repeat . . . Fiat! Van !!!!

    Erm I bought a Peugeot actually :-)

Although I am quite partial to the odd Fart in a tin lol, having owned a few...

Can't believe you haven't heard them called that before!

  4. Sammy it's always difficult to diagnose over the internet... but I'm assuming you're transfering the buttons over from the existing fascia? When I changed my headunit and changed the fascia for a piano black one, I remember having to unscrew the pcb board and take it all apart then re-assemble into to the new fascia. Is that what you're doing and they're still not fitting?

That link also looks like a cheap aftermarket part? Maybe if you're doing as I did, then the part is the problem, not the buttons?

  5. Welcome to the little Italy section Andrew! There's a few of us that have/had a selection of Alfa's, Lancia's and the odd Fiat...

Nearly bought a MonteCarlo myself a few years back, and missed out by a shill bidder! Now they're getting expensive, so deffo one to hold onto!

That's a nice specc'd car being the Momo S, and I'm assuming that went through Manheim then, being from Bruntingthorpe? Was there many bids against you, or was it an easy win?

Looks well with the darkened wheels against the white. I notice from the MOT history in 2017 it's had a knock on the O/S/F bumper which also caused the wheel arch liner to become loose?

  6. Congrats Mike, it looks like a brand new car!

I'm missing mine already... Regarding the wheel centres, just keep an eye out on Italian eBay as I'm sure you already are. Or you could always have the wheels powder coated to suit the darker centres I guess.

I couldn't find any leather Lancia headrests either when I was looking, and even the cloth ones were silly money so didn't bother in the end.

  7. What did it go for in the end at BCA? Did anyone watch it go through? Fees would have been in the region of £350 - £450 depending on membership level...

If the dent guy managed to get that wing back in shape like it looks like he has, he needs a medal! …and is it me or have the alloys been resprayed losing the diamond cut? It's hard to tell from the pictures.... Shame it's wet in the pics too, as I bet some of the touching up isn't that great close up.

Yeah I agree £5k is a hard sell in this market with a car like this, and they need to get it MOT'd and fully serviced if they want top dollar!

  8. Sorry I meant to reply to this the other day and got distracted... I only use Gates kits, and buy from reputable auto factors (shop4parts should be ok) rather than fleabay.

I'm assuming from the spark plug reference it's the 1.4ma, and isn't it Bosch plugs that's in from new? Can't remember as it's that long since I've had one, but stick with like for like if you can.

I did have a quick look for the coolant capacity, but can't find it. Does it say anything in the book, or ring a friendly tech?
