  1. It's a bad day that one doesn't learn something new :-D Good information !
  2. The battery charge module is a monitoring device fitted between the battery earth pole and the battery earth lead and it is used to ensure that the battery charge doesn't drop so low as to not allow the restart system to operate
  3. For information Luigi, which exact model of Delta do you own and run? I am surprised that yours doesn't have start/stop as most have! Is there a battery charge module between the battery earth lead and the battery? Or is the lead connected directly to the battery?
  4. You need to answer the questions . .
  5. Mike . . . . Hahaha! It took 10 posts for the background to come out :_D
  6. Why did your car need to be jump started? Does your car have the stop/start system? Who performed the jump start procedure? Did you witness the jump start? As it seems your car has reset to factory settings
  7. How do we know that he doesn't ???? ;-) Like the Punto and power steering system failure.. usually follows a clutch change . . The engine earth is more of a culprit than the actual power steering Just cos he died after his breakfast, doesn't mean that it was the breakfast that killed him !!!
  8. This sounds like an earth or battery connection, it's distinctly odd for these to go udders up! I would start around the battery area and ensure that connections around there are all clean and good, then work your way into the car 1 thing, theres a connection over your right foot that can pull apart
  9. Still awaiting delivery of the new lamp, am presuming that the postman must be worn out, bringing it all the way from Italy on the crossbar of his bike :-D

I was looking for a clutch master cylinder for my brother's 2009 Punto Grande, Fiat wanted €117+Vat for one My pet motor factors wanted €78+Vat, but alerted me to the same part being listed for the Opel/Vauxhall Corsa Got it for £21, delivered from flEabay :-D Modern car manufacturing is an incestous place :-O
  12. I ran my integrale as my daily driver over 3 month periods, several times over the last few years and apart from the points on my licence fear and the 130 euros a week fuel consumption, I had a smile on my face, every time I arrived somewhere :-D
  13. I'll put 1st dibs on it, and if my mate can fix it, I can hold it as 'community spares' :-D
  14. I think that driving the nuts off diesels occasionally and getting them good and hot (aka the Italian tune up) is vital to their wellbeing and fitness for purpose . . QED ;-)
  15. Eccentric, I think is the word you're looking for :-D
  16. I have an electronic engineer friend, bursting to get his hands on the old unit, to arse about with it, to prove that it can be repaired :-D

  21. find out what kind of bulbs are fitted (H4...H7) Lidl and Aldi often do a 2 pack for a fiver, go for the +50% type and you will notice a big difference
  22. I was onto a friend of mine from the old rallying days, based in the south of Italy He says that it is supplied only by Marelli and although he doesnt have 1, he will have 1 in his shop tomorrow Reckons €180 plus postage of €20.....fingers crossed now that it doesnt turn out to be Unicorn urine!!!
  23. It happens! Usually it's extra nuts or bolts :-D There used to be a Ford (Fix Or Repair Daily) plant in my hometown, when there was news of a workers new car making it's way through the build line, it got Ghia interior and 2.0 engine and the works. If a management destined car was on it's way, it got bolts welded into chassis legs or sills !!!
  24. Thanks lads ! Is the DRL separate to the headlight unit? I do know that they're a problem on the Giulietta . . The left-hand is a 'master' and sometimes it needs a pair to sort out the problem
  25. They're a fabulous car, fast, quiet and most all, stylish! I embarrassed a lad the other evening, he was in a raspy snorty Subaru and every time hi looked in his mirror, there was a white Delta, I eventually finished up, flashing him for road and I just walked past and away hehehe
