  1. I made a wiring diagram of the wires below the rear carpet and what lights they went to but was for a 2003 model and not stow and go. Plug at rear bumper surely shows a towbar has been previously fitted. See if you can trace the cable back to inside the car and you may find a relay/module that has been disconnected.

  2. The fog lights are too low to use as day lime lights. Its probably eyebrow lights your wanting but tread carefully regarding legislation as most on sale are illegal. Just run with dipped beam on. But these eyebrow lights are so bright that people are driving at night on them which of course is silly if not illegal. Much controversy is being said about these running lights as some are blinding other drivers. Its a minefield which needs sorted.

  3. The thing is, is it bearings or brake pads or shoes rubbing slightly. Only way to check is too jack up wheel, spin tyre and listen. Then remove pads and top hat discs and spin. Is there a differance. Read somewhere the best way to check bearings is by stethiscope at the bearing housing. They say the rumble gives the answer.

But after just reading my words and removing all that I'd be inclined to just renew bearing.

Reputable seller of course, don't want China stuff.

  4. I'm sure there used to keep the engine area clear of unwanted debri like dust, stones and anything likely to damage the electricals. However they don't stop those little furry long tailed beasties getting in that build nests in warm places like on mine atop the engine.
  5. I run a wire for my trailor power relay in nearside rear light housing, via battery, front passenger foot well, nearside middle pillar, handbrake mount, then along grooving in middle of the floor that contains wiring harness and scoosher hose to rear door. Under carpet of course. Think it went threw a grommet in steel footwell, possibly hole meant for left hand steering shaft. Floor for foldaway seats might be different though.

  6. As too Voyagerlad is the crack on the spring connector or the hose. And I take it you have a Diesel or is it a petrol. If its the hose that's cracked, cut off the damaged bit and refit after cleaning the metal pipe. (If there's enough slack).

As too Wossa its crystal ball time as we don't know where it is or have a picture. You'll need to get under there to find out. Likely possible rusted through pipes to Auxiliary heater.

  7. Are you petrol or Diesel this is not clear. Could be cam crank sensors they fail due to heat soak so does your engine conk out after it heats up for a time. Fuel pressure regulator is another option, funny that it stops engines starting but drives ok. Now the one that you need to check is the fuel filter. Is there fuel drip onto road on standing. It's low down on cylinder block, with hand primer. There is a diaphragm in top so if air gets in the cracked rubber fuel runs back to tank...These are diesel probs of course.

Oh and any codes to confirm...

  8. I'm getting my suspension parts from Jeep Chrysler parts now. Brake parts from Euro Car Parts. Small parts like handbrake shoe spring kits off fleebay. Had to get the intermediate handbrake cable off fleebay as no one else had it, Quinton Hazel part.

Oh and as too the anti roll rubbers, there's loads of crap ones on fleebay so buy quality.

  9. Yeh like QinteQ says get the kit of a new set of shoe springs and pins. The worse scenario like I have is the backplates are badly rusted and the through shoe pins won't hold on. Alternative is 4mm machine screws on bigger washers coming through from the back and a lock nut at shoe end. Fiddly but does job. Oh and Leedsman uses brake cleaner on the handbrake springs.  ..Back plates are running around £100+ each.

  10. You will need to tell us why you think fans are faulty. Is your car overheating or what. The easy answer would be to take out the coolant temp switch and put it in a container of water slowly being heated and take a note of the temperature when the switch switches over, that's if it does. There's probably a graph somewhere to change that temp into pressurised temp. Think I would just have a replacement handy to save the hassle.

Just read your info again where are you bridging over at the temp switch plug or the relay.
