  1. If you literally just touch the glass lightly with the unpealed badge it will not adhere fully so you can stand back and move around as desired. As Tim says use the wiper centre to line it up. Its only once you add pressure the adhesive will really stick and bond on to the glass.

  2. OK noticed a new issue this morning - has anyone experienced any issues with the Dual Zone Climate system? If I turn up the heat - driver side is warm but passenger side (both the LH central vent plus the near side window vent) are cold / a different temperature? I presume there is some kind of flap internally that controls both sides? Will check on the Fiat forum for similar Bravo issues............

  3. Hi Toddy and welcome - My mate owns and runs Motormech in central Birmingham. Paul Gilbert is an Italian car specialist and enthusiast. What he cannot fix is not worth knowing.......Bit of a run for you but will be worth it.

He has looked after all our cars for years including my Delta - oh and currently owns a Giulia Quadrifolglio  B)  He has all the diagnostic kit too. Right opposite the Bullring so the wife can shop till she drops there and take revenge!

  4. The Delta struggles for a foot rest due to the change to RHD - it was not considered initially by the looks of it.......................

The ride is good although can be compromised by larger (17"+) alloys - its the same with many an FCA car of the period - they all appear to be more stiffly sprung. My wife has had a Brava, Stilo, Sedici and her current 500X and they were/are all the same. The one good thing though I find with mine is how stable the car is at speed on a motorway...........

  5. Well done. I think they normally say the average battery life is around 4-5 years though S/S cars usually have a higher capacity to take the constant S/S load. As mentioned I'm still on the original again the only 'issue' it gives me is the system does not kick in which I am not concerned about. I think the Delta has a fairly early system so indeed was not the most reliable anyway. I probably will replace the battery soon though. Any queries with the warning light I would just say you have the override button on to disable the system. Enjoy the car.

  6. Amazingly enough I am still on my original battery which still does not give any issues apart from the S/S not now kicking in. I do not get any errors saying its not available though. I only get that when I manually press the disable button so suspect there may be another issue to cause the warning alert? poop - as you show as being in Staffs - had you tried my mate Paul Gilbert who owns - http://www.motor-mech.co.uk/index.asp

Paul has looked after all my cars for years including  my Delta. He has all the Diagnostic kit as Mike says so should be able to tell you the issue. He is in central Brum right next to the Bullring.

I should get a new battery too though as mentioned I have absolutely no issues starting etc. so have not bothered and S/S really does not bother me.

  7. I'm never sure what the OE fitment supplier was although I presumed it was Goodyear.  For that price though I might give the Avon's a go. My rears have lasted forever - not even sure when they were last changed - I'm only going to do now as the sidewalls are cracking with age. Still plenty of tread on them...............

  8. Hi Dapper and welcome to an exclusive club. (Yes I did have to google septuagenarian!) I have the 1.4 MultiAir which is an excellent engine once sorted. As per other threads the early MA engines suffered with Actuator issues - the later cars were modded (post 2014 I believe). This was not just on issue on the Delta but on Bravo/Mito/Giulietta etc). I had to replace mine along with the Turbo but it did not put me off the car. The MA unit is quite spritely given the cars weight and length. (1395kg). 140bhp is not too bad and acceleration on the motorway is quite well up to a point. The car is also very stable at speed. I can get 40+ mpg on a long run too. It still turns heads and I get many a questions about the car.

I'd agree with Tim - get at least an SR spec. There are grilles available in Italy - let us know when you find a car and we can assist with sourcing one with links etc - you just need to know where to look!  :)
