  1. I put Ring Life Halogens in the Delta Mike - it was the only thing Wiko's had and I needed a bulb as working Nights............. I changed Mrs Nello's DRL's in her 500X to LED's as Fiat were tight with the original 500X and had incandescent bulbs which looked daftly yellow especially when her top-of-the-range Cross Plus has Xenon headlights. Through the MoT no problem. They have added LED's in the recent revamp 'S2' 500X now..........

  2. Yes Welcome - great to hear from another owner. Follow what Andrew says - I have not experienced this at all but its normally an issue with rubber. The handling and steering effect on these cars is not exactly precise - too light with not alot of feel. At the risk of stating the obvious - you are not stuck in 'City' steering ,mode are you? That makes the wheel even lighter but again should not make it 'tramline'.............

  3. That ruling really is such a load of tosh - There are loads of German rubbish out there with massively blinding lights including DRL's - yet when someone tries to improves the safety of their car from rubbish and inefficient incandescent lamps they say its does not confirm. For the record I didn't switch to LED's however my wife's car passed its first MoT yesterday and nothing was flagged.......

  4. Well that didn't last long - Just had to change the nearside bulb again - 20 months on?! Still a pain but not as bad as the first time................. Used Ring bulb this time - supposed to be long-life - we'll see............  The other thing that gets me is that I only noticed the lack of light that prompted me to check if I had a bulb out - no errors on the Dash - yet when I tried to swap my rear plate marker lights with some LED ones CANBUS went bonkers?!

  5. Depends what you are after. I have never really considered the Delta 3 as a Sports/Performance car like the Mk.1 was so not thought about it much. An exhaust system / K&N Filter may give you a few more BHP and obviously a nicer sound however to really up the performance you would probably need to uprate the Turbo/Clutch and think about some kind of Intercooler. (.......then there's the obvious knock on effect of doing that and improving the brakes etc.)

  6. I mean the rear box after the Cat with the tailpipes. Yes Sports Silencer is a general reference here to any exhaust system that was not OE and usually aftermarket.

I have just googled Bravo T-Jet Sports exhausts and the rear box looks the same fitment. As mentioned I bought a standard replacement for my car and it was identical.

Have a look to see if you have a Bravo system supplier to inspect one.

This seller is listing this one on ebay - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Exhaust-Rear-Silencer-Muffler-LANCIA-DELTA-Mk-3-III-1-4-1-6-1-9-2-0-D-T-jet-Mjet/112772360492?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D53672%26meid%3Dced7ab42ac5c491dbcd786c0d51bdfc3%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D112133970345%26itm%3D112772360492&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

He also lists one for the Bravo and I am 99.9% sure its the same image.

  7. Hi JH - glad you are still enjoying the car. Not familiar with a bespoke Performance exhaust myself - the Delta 3 was not really a Delta Mk.1 so don't think there was ever any demand. Certainly not the numbers of cars here in the UK to warrant selling one. As per other threads though - I replaced my Back-box with one from a Fiat Bravo - they are the indentical part so you may find a sports silencer from one of those if you had the Bravo there? Let us know how you get on.............

  8. Hello and welcome. If the Heater is cold then the thermostat is probably stuck open/closed. Is the water bubbling/boiling in the expansion tank? Water Pump could have failed although that is fairly rare. If you need the Pump changing you may as well get all the belts done as well. IIRC we got the 1.9 in the Limited here - the 2.0 was for Europe - Alan (Rosso on here) will know. Just looked on my mates website as he is an Italian specialist Independent. That engine in the Alfa is around £350+vat for the belts/pump etc. so I would say about £500 approx to change including the Thermo. Probably best doing if you do not know the full history of the car. Let us know how you get on. Was that the Grey one that was on Autotrader a few weeks ago?

  9. I'd like to see those cover badges Otter? Incidentally I've just come back from Devon in mine!  B)  I like to think I'm one of the Delta S3 'specialists over here - I reckon there are around 10 cars converted - and I still claim to be the first to do it! (Although as far as I know Stuart Wilson from the Lancia Club had the first one in the country as he imported a LHD car).

  10. I'll take a look on mine later and let you know delboy. What engine is yours?

BTW did anyone else spot that Limited on Autotrader the other day? Gone from there now but someone got a bargain - Hate to say it Alan but it was sub £3k and only had about 70k on it! Same colour but it was also the 2.0!
