2.8 Crd Fuel Filter

Hi guys and gals I got a 2.8 crd 2004 gv and need to change my fuel filter .I ordered 1 from euro car parts and received one that says mann wk854/7 but when removing mine it is a kc140 are these the same or is this the correct replacement one or do I need to get another kc140 any help plz

Yes, they are both suitable. There are many manufacturers making the same filter each with their own part numbers.

Hello all

I have a 2007 version, but there is no filter at rear.

Ive changed the one on the engine but nothing found at rear, not even a mounting bracket should someone previously think to get rid of it.

 

My question is......does it exist ????

WHOA, WHOA, WHOA !!!!!!

 

If you're referring to the 4th Generation CRD engine, the fuel filter sits at the lower front side of the engine.

 

It's situated below the top water hose, between the Fuel Pump and the Starter Motor.

 

You replace it from underneath

@@Sentech There are actually two locations for the 2.8CRD (and 2.5CRD) fuel filter on 4th gen. On every 2004/2005 model I've owned they are underneath to the rear by the fuel tank. None in the engine bay, but I've worked on ones with the filter (with the small rubber manual primer on the top) in the engine bay as you describe also.

 

There seemed to be several variations on the design and so you need to physically check as I've yet to find a way of finding which edition matches which location for fuel filter and lift pump!

Useful to know, although one of the original posts referred to a 2007 which should be the same as mine.
