2.5 Crd Clutch Slave Cylinder Rod Problem

Question

hi, im in the process of doing a clutch change on my 2.5 crd, gearbox is out, problem ive created is the clutch slave cylinder, i twisted to release it but didnt tie it up out the way, i lowered the gearbox but caught the clylinder and the rod popped out along with a spring and fluid, i tried putting the spring and rod back in but the rod wont push up, i know its a sealed unit and no bleed nipple, any ideas or have i buggered it, cheers

Hi there, I've not replied as I don't really know,

However on my Renault Master there is a non return valve in the clutch line.

This would, I reckon, cause you to be unable to push that rod back in.

On the van it's able to be separated, which is a bad move under normal circumstances as it's a total sod to get fluid back through again - from my practical experience! ! Took a while to get a pedal again !

That's the only GUESS I can help with sorry.
