Newbie here. Picking up my first Grand Voyager next week, so excited. Its a 2001 diesel 2.5

Seller informs me it doesnt have a key fob and I am wondering how much is it to get a replacement key fob. Can you buy one off ebay and get it coded to car

How easy is it to fix the sliding doors if they are not operating electronically?

Hey, welcome to the Chrysler Forum  :)

Remote depends on what type? I assume it is just the fob (separate key) type?

Sliding doors, just one or both of them? I would wait until you get the fob first and if still not working take a look at fuses then the wiring at the doors.

p.s. was it a private sale?

Hi T14086

Thanks for your response. I will post more when i pick up the car. I have been looking for a Grand Voyager forages and just when I was about to give up I finally get one. So excited. Seller has been honest doors dont work electronically and has no key fob. I just feel these are problems I can easily tackle. No, yes ?

when you close the sliding door does a motor start and pulls the door inwards

does the boot work with the switches above interior mirror

there fuses in the bonnet  and try pull out fuse od? front right for 10 minutes and replace try doors buttons inside

I will try pulling fuse iod and see. The power door passenger sids works half the time and ghe otjer half it unclips and doesnt move. Tje driver side one works like 1 out 5 tries. I dont have a switch on overhead console for tailgate though there two big wires on tailgate.

Is there a way of programming keys or its dealer job

  1. Using a functional key fob transmitter, unlock the vehicle and disarm the Vehicle Theft Security System.

Insert ignition key into the ignition switch.

Turn the ignition switch to RUN position without starting engine.

Using a functional key fob transmitter, press and hold the UNLOCK button for a minimum 4 seconds (maximum 10 seconds).

While holding UNLOCK button, and before 10 seconds passes, press and release the PANIC button. A single chime will sound to verify that the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE ) module is set to receive the new Vehicle Access Code(s).

Within 30 seconds of the chime, press any button on each new key fob transmitter. After 30 seconds or when ignition switch is turned OFF , theRKE module will end the programming mode. A single chime will sound to verify that the RKE module will no longer receive additional Vehicle Access Code(s).

When Vehicle Access Code(s) programming is complete, turn Ignition Switch to the OFF position and verify RKE system operation using each key fob.

sounds like you got broken wires in going to the doors the ones that are in a chain type under the door step solder in a new piece
