Question

Help! This happens very rarely and did happen again today.....

My 2006 grand voyager 2.8 CRD automatic gearbox type.

from standstill (traffic lights) lots of jerking movements and would not drive when put in "D". Eventually got going and happened again briefly and did regain drive in "D"

Car has done 73k full history and no evidence of gearbox oil change?

Any ideas on what to do please?

Bit of an update..... Lost all drive on motorway slip road today!!!

Are these gearboxes famous for breaking?

70 ish 000 miles, im the second owner, full history, and no signs of it being used for towing!

Seems to be a money pit that likes to go wrong especially when it's inconvenient!!!!!

Mine went at same time as yours mate its torque converter I think so it's a whole rebuild have you had it done yet

I had it done, replacing it!

Used gearbox from Lithuania. Lokal workshop did the job

Cost: £ 2500.
