  1. Thanks bignev, sounds like the job is beyond my level of ability to fix! Has anyone had a leak from the aircon pipe and managed to fix it so that either just the front air conditioning works or front and rear?
  2. Correction: the fluid leak is dripping off a pipe near the rear tyre well, drivers side .
  3. Hi, I've a leaking air con system which discharges about a day after being re gassed. Is dripping fluid from near the rear tyre passenger side. Looking on Google it seems a common and expensive problem. However I've seen there are rear air con block off kits which allow the front air con to be recharged and work. Has anyone any experience of obtaining the kits and having them fitted here in the UK?

  5. I think I'll go with the fuel filter first. I've been reading my manuals and had a look online and an unsure if it is a little too much for me to do. Can I ask have many had experience of changing a fuel filter on the 2005 3.3l petrol and how difficult they found it?
  6. Thanks all, which you would look at first, the egr or fuel filter? With the car working fine on LPG I'm thinking fuel filter but wanted to check in case my logic is flawed.
  7. Sorry I just realised I forgot to include something on the original post. The car is also LPG converted, when running on LPG it never stalls at all. Only when switched to petrol mode and the engine is warm. Thanks.
  8. Hi, over the past couple of weeks out of the blue my 2005 3.3l petrol Grand Voyager is having difficulty starting when left stood for a while (e.g first thing in the morning and say after 5 or so hours later if left). The engine turns over but doesn't fire, after 4 or 5 attempts it will fire and does not have a problem starting again until it is left to stand again for several hours. I'm also having a problem in that once the engine is warm (only when warm never when cold), the car will intermittently stalls when at low speed, e.g. at traffic lights or slowing down for a roundabout). When it happens, the engine just dies without warning. When I check the fault code I get a P0171, which I see is the system is lean. I'm unsure if the two issues are related or separate? I've checked the battery and it is fine, I wasn't sure if the issue was the fuel filter, O2 sensor or something else. Any ideas Thanks
  9. Thanks. I've just to come to look at it now and the throttle is back.?! Could it be the cold weather this morning?
  10. Hi, have come to my 2005 Grand Voyager 3.3l this morning and I have no acceleration?? The accelerator pedal feels very spongy and the pedal feels higher than normal, if I press it there is no throttle response. The car creeps forward or back or if I put in gear, but without throttle I'll not get far. Does anyone have any ideas? Sorry no error codes?
  11. Hi, I've had some recent work (routine service) and now the warning chime that used to sound if I had left the headlights on or forgotten my seatbelt now doesn't chime. It now doesn't chime for anything at all. The garage that did the service are telling me they haven't done anything to cause this and are refusing to help. I've tried disconnecting the battery and leaving for a while with no joy. What makes me think the garage have done something is that I telephoned them during the service to check when it would be completed, I could hear the chimes going continuously in the background now I think back to that call, but never thought anything at the time. Does anyone have any ideas how this could have been disabled and how I can turn back on? Thanks.
  12. Can I check, did you change just the upstream sensor to fix the problem?
  13. Thank you so much for your detailed reply. I will contact Pentagon Barnsley, but with the sounds of it the installation of the new pipes is beyond my level of ability, by quite a bit! I'll have to find someone to fit them for me think.
  14. Hi, I have a leak in the air conditioner pipe that leads to the rear of my 2005 Chrysler Grand Voyager (drivers side wheel arch), it's a 3.3l petrol and I live in South Yorkshire. It was recently regassed and worked fine for a few days, then warm air again. A leak was detected in a pipe near the rear of the car (has independent rear air con), near the rear wheel arch. I'm after a repair that wont cost the earth. Or alternatively to block the rear pipe so that only air conditioning comes out of the front so the leak doesn't drain the system. I've contacted many people I've seen on the internet and no one seem interested. Has anyone had a similar repair (if so how much) or know of anywhere that would undertake such a job? Thanks
  15. Hi, I have a petrol 3.3l 2005 Grand Voyager based in Yorkshire. Over the past month the car intermittently stalls when say slowing/stopping at a traffic light. It hasn't done it at speed just when slowing down when in drive, doesnt stall when I am parked up.i t is throwing up a p0171 error code (lean system). The car has an LPG conversion, but it stalls only when driving on petrol and then intermittently (LPG on the telephone say its nothing to.do with them as it is happening only on petrol mode), I've also noticed it doesn't stall when cold, only my after I drive for a few minutes and the engine is warm. When I have seen it stall the revs dip to around 500, then suddenly increase up and then the engine dies. Has anyone any idea what could be causing this? Thanks
  16. Demodocus, did disconnecting the battery get it started again?
  17. Funny enough the first time this happened the car wouldn't start in a supermarket car park, I got the spare key and it started straight away. Next day the car wouldn't start at all with any key and hadn't done since.... I'm being told the ECU voltage is low, that this could be the reason why. But thinking about it, the first time it happened it did just spring to life as soon as I used the spare key....
  18. Hi, they checked this at the garage and the battery was fine (even charged it fully to check), but still won't start.
  19. Hi, I need help! I have a 2005 Grand Voyager XS limited 3.3l auto box. This past week, the car suddenly wont start. It has been to 2 separate independent garages who have checked all of the fuses, fuel pump, relays etc and all appears to be fine. What they did say was that the voltage of the ECU was low (which would fit in with the error on the car dashboard which was that the ASD relay had a low voltage). But they have looked at the ASD and it appears to be fine. My question is has anyone had a similar experience, my local Chrysler/Jeep dealer (Yorkshire) cant fit me in for a diagnostic alone for 3 weeks which is a nightmare as I am really struggling without the car! Does this sound like the ECU, does anyone know of anyone who can look at it and fix and any indication of cost? Any recommendations will be most appreciated. Thanks
  20. I managed to get a 50l tank under the car in the spare wheel well. Been a week now and all is good...
  21. Hi, my red light on my dashboard to the right of my traction control button is perminantly turned on. The car is one I have just bought, a 2005 limited XS petrol model. The car starts no problem, no immobiliser issues. However I have noticed that the alarm as in the ultrasonics and door opening sensors don't seem to work when I test thm. I can lock the car no problem with the remote fob, but the perimeter and ultrasonics don't work. Is this something I can look at myself? Any advice would be welcome.
