QinteQ, yes, that's correct. Now the two wires are fixed and I don't need to bypass it anymore.

I would ask the garage to check the alternator. It's looks like you can drive on full battery, so the alternator doesn't charge the battery.
The best way to check.charge the battery to full. Start the car. Take off the +. If car is still running, then it's not the alternator, if not then probably the alternator dead. Common fault for 2.8crd engines.

I finally got the car running. But it's a tricky one, as I had to bypass the small starter relay. 
Looks like a loose, damaged  wiring  or worn the ignition barrel. Will try to find out over the weekend.

I've had this solved now after spending (to me anyways) a lot of £££. The replacement of the I/O gearbox sensors didn't work so the garage went for the TCM. It was corroded and also had a section missing from one corner!  Why did Chrysler think the passenger wheel arch was a good place to mount something electrical?? :unsure:Anyways, the TCM was changed and normal gear service was resumed  I hope this is the last of my problems with my van as I do love it to bits

I do have some vibration when I am stopped and it's in D and now even in Neutral mode.
I found couple threads about that and could be the front engine mount or alternator pulley. Will change the engine mount over the weekend and if problem will stay then probably all alternator belt kit with pulleys.
