Great review above by Forzalancia. I would only emphasise the aspect 'space'. The car has enormous inside space, comparable to (or even bigger than) cars of larger category. Especially the space for back seat passengers is shocking.

In terms of performance, engines are very good. I have the 1.4 MA and although fuel consumption is a bit high, the engine has good responsiveness and surprisingly good acceleration, even when you are on 6th gear cruising leisurely on the motorway. Road feedback of course is light years back in comparison to an Alfa Romeo, steering feels imprecise and gear change less smooth, so coming from an Alfa GT I feel a bit "out of my waters", as it actually feels like a boat in comparison to the GT, although they have almost the same dimensions. But let us not forget that it is a completely different car, addressing different public.

In terms of design, the car beats hands down any 2020 model and the Platino version with the 18" wheels is just astonishingly beautiful. The car that you sent on the link is the 'argento' basic version (not sure how it is called in the UK), I would wait to get a higher spec version. Don't bother with the navi-radio, it is useless by modern standards.

An important aspect to take into consideration is who is going to service it, in continental Europe FIAT network is extensive, not sure how it is in the UK.

kapetanikolas reacted to poopydog in Engine Warning Light & Stop Start
    Oh well, here goes:-
New clutch fitted, new timing belt/ water pump fitted, new plugs, oil filter etc fitted on Thursday 16th Jan.
Returned  on Monday 20th Jan running fine.
Wednesday 22nd Jan, morning start, a  little lumpy for 5-6 seconds then settled down, carried  on, 1 mile later engine warning light and stop start fail lit up.
Back to garage, running fine, reset diagnostics, checked Delta Forum -  see Josboogz entry approx 16 monthes ago. Exactly the same fault shown.
Running fine until Friday, 24th Jan, same thing happend but no lumpy running, switch engine off for 2 hours and everything reset  itself ( I thought you would need diagnostics kit to do this? anyway.....).

Saturday 25th my stop/start not having worked for about 3 plus years began to work of  its  own accord! worked 3 times  in a 20 minute window, 2 hrs later engine warning light and stop start fail lights lit up again.

TODAY SUNDAY 26TH JAN -  0840AM. Started as usual, NO warning  lights lit, lumpy running for 2/3 seconds, settled down to idle around 11/1200rpm. short excursion to 2000rpm then back to idle.
RUN FOR APPROX 2/3 MINS - ENGINE WARNING LIGHT AND STOP START LIGHTS  LIT !!!!!!!!!!!

    Any ideas  please??????

N.B. Vehicle is back in the garage in FEB for new pads and discs ( due to an argument with that wonderful tyres and brakes company called ..CRAP FIT) and I hope, while  it is in this problem can be sorted.

    P.S. Running  out  of money!!!!!

    Thankyou

kapetanikolas got a reaction from Nello in What Tyre For 18" Wheels?
Update: Thank you all for your contributions. In the end I went for the GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 to replace the Bridgestone Potenzas at the front, and I have to say the Goodyears have transformed the car, not only much better grip but also spectacular change in the steering precision, very increased comfort level and softness on road irregularities, but also very quiet. The car feels much more solid and I am really very satisfied with these tyres and I can recommend them without any hesitation to fellow Delta owners, at least for the 18" wheel size. Looking forward to replace also the ones at the rear after the winter.

I was in the car and preparing to drive yesterday evening when a gentleman came and knocked on the driver's window asking me how much the car costs because his daughter saw it and instantly fell in love with it. When I said that it's a 2011 model and that it has been completely discontinued since 2015 his eyes popped out and said 'but it looks like new'!! Mind you, this happened in Brussels, where the model is not so uncommon. Although 11 years old already,  the design easily stands out from anything the competition of the category has to offer even today, and if well maintained it looks like a much more luxurious and expensive car than what it really is. In "Lancia" version the effect is even stronger. The 'Chrysler' version has ruined the effect somehow.
