  1. I'd definitely change it whilst your doing the belts and pump... Which engine 1.4ma/1.6 or 2.0JTDM? A quick search for the same engine in a Giulietta or Mito should tell you how much it needs.
  2. No not hardcore Italian car lovers like ourselves Neil!
  3. Yeah I don't like the colour either! It's like a rank mushroom colour! I'd be surprised if that front wing is salvagable? Needs a new N/S/F tyre, plus it's had a previous poor paint repair to the O/S/R quarter panel which will need checking over and probably re-doing. All 4 alloys are scrubbed, and there a fair few dents, chips and scratches, plus its not been serviced since 2016/27k! It's a grade 4, but TBH BCA grade 1's can be bad...so buy with your eyes wide open lol.
  4. Sammy the best thing to do re the camera is to pop out one of the reg downlights and take a picture of it. Usually you can get a generic chinese one off of eBay that should be a direct replacement but with a camera in there as well. The last time I fitted one of these I think I only paid around £10 for it, and it worked really well. It also had the two lines on screen and distance markers to help with the image. It will need soldering into the reverse light feed loom in the boot where the wires enter the rear light unit. This is so that when you select reverse and the power lights the bulb, it will also power the camera which prompts the head-unit to show the image. As said before the hardest part is routing the cable from the camera back through the tailgate into the roof body and then taking it to the front of the car and head-unit. It sounds like you are, but just in case, stay away from the Chinese head-units as they can be larger than a standard double din hole and therefore won't fit. If you keep to Kenwood/Pioneer etc, so known brands you'll be fine. You'll need two conversion looms, one the head-unit cables to convert to fit the dash loom, and also the steering wheel cable so you don't lose those features and these are all plug 'n' play. The Fiat Bravo 2008 onwards leads should work.
  5. Welcome Sammy! You deffo made the right choice, and can cruise the streets in a very unique car and prob not see another... Rear ? are all the same to fit, so buy a good resolution one. The difficult bit is routing the cable through the rubber loom thingy from boot lid to body. Try a get one that is also the rear reg plate downlight.

  7. Cheers fella! Wow only two of you! Well that certainly is exclusivity without super car money lol. Yes will deffo still be around... It's in the blood! ?
  8. Cheers Neil! Yeah I'm sorry too, and will do fella. (y) It definitely goes down as one of those iconic cars that gets under your skin! Kind of unexpected too, but none the less up there with some of the best Alfas I've owned. Yes considering I didn't even get round to advertising the car apart from this thread, I had 5 people send me messages. Although I dare say one or two were messers that wanted something for nothing... but kind of par for the course these days. Anyway the guy who's bought the car has wanted one for about two years, so think he deserves to enjoy it after trying to buy for so long!
  9. No surprisingly. This was a forum stalker lol. I'm sure if he wants to become an active member he'll introduce himself.
  10. Cheers fella, I took a deposit on the car yesterday, so pending collection it is gone... Quite sad to see it go really, as it's been such a fabulous car! I think I paid around £400 for the reg from DVLA select registrations, but I'm letting it go with the car.
  11. Oh forgot to add I'm 10 mins from Manchester Airport, so happy to come and get you if you want a look. I've sold a few cars to Southern Ireland, as it's an easy drive to Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin...
  12. Well your luck maybe about to change! I've not advertised it yet, (apart from the post at the top of this thread) due to being too busy with work at the minute... If you're interested let me know/ask any questions etc and I'll be happy to answer. Thx Mike
  13. That's the problem with living in the Midlands! You're not as hard as us Northerners, so are more prone to acting like a Southern fairy!
  14. What you mean we should our Alfa...Spud?
  15. My talking sense conversation with my wife fell on deaf ears fella! She pretty much said ''leave my alfa alone and sell your boys car''! Now if her car was a Giulietta, 159 or even a GT I could understand, but it's a Mito, so not exactly family sized.... One word... Women!!!!
  16. Having to buy an MPV style van for my business, so toying with the idea of selling the Delta as 3 cars might be a pain for driveway space! Most of the history is documented on here, but suffice to say It's been just over 4 years of fabulous motoring. It's a metallic Grey 2012 1.6jtdm SR model on 60k with full Italian Independent service history. The cambelt/water pump kit was replaced last year, and It's just had 4 new tyres, and two replacement front springs as one had snapped at the tail end. It has a Lancia Momo style black grill, and all external badges replaced too, along with sill plates and Lancia air-bag. I replaced the centre console heater controls and head unit with piano black versions like in the Limited version, oh and Lancia wheel centre caps too. It comes with a private reg: D3 LTX, and a detachable swan neck tow bar and electrics that's occasionally pulled a small garden trailer. The towbar is removeable and the electric swing under the bumper when not in use. It's been maintained regardless of cost, and comes up fab when polished. Being picky it could do with the wheels refurbing as they have some light scuffs, and there is a child's bike scratch in the rear nearside door that won't polish out. I might get these sorted if I get offered a fair price... Open to sensible offers as in no rush to sell.
  17. Wow that looks great in black!!
  18. Looks great fella! Top work! I keep looking at the headrests and the engine cover, but haven't got around to either yet.
  19. Check the hose is still attached at the pump end. A couple of us have had them come off, and just squirt water all over the engine bay. Open the bonnet and get someone to squirt them as that's a real quick way to identify it.
  20. I'm not surprised tbh… The used car market is on it's arse plus Christmas/new year is the low point as well.
  21. Any luck Neil? I've checked mine and it definitely blows at the feet fine... Just not letting any fresh air in as I'm pretty sure my recirc flap has closed again.
  22. Ha-ha it can't be that bad then! I'm thinking about getting a fiat Qubo or Doblo for work as I'm trashing the car. So the misses might have to adopt the Delta as it's too good to sell.
  23. Don't think so, although now you come to mention it, my feet don't seem as warm? I'll have to check!! In my case the Recirc flap had stuck in the shut position hence everything steaming up as you're basically breathing the same air all the time and no fresh air is coming in. It's a common failure on the Bravo as well, and it's basically the plastic cogs stripping the teeth! To make things worse it's dash out to replace the heater matrix, so a poo load of labour for a relatively easy job. We opted for jamming it open, although I think it's closed again as I'm steaming up in winter!
