  1. Yeah mine was an SR and the sliding and split fold seats were very handy. I wish we'd had the same options as Europe as they definitely got a better choice of spec, like tan leather, double sun roofs and wider choice of engine spec too.
  2. Very similar to be honest as the stupidly high boot lip is always a restricting factor. Yeah the TBI is very rare as your know especially in SW format... It was one of the last on a 60 plate, so was a phase 3 with the black half leather/alcantara and red piped seats with black aluminium dash. Great engine with almost V6 like performance, just quite muted in the audible department.

     

     

  3. If I was to fit into a 'default' car box, it would always have to be Alfa Romeo... However it's been 18 months since I sold my Delta and I do still miss it, so that tells you something!

     

    Mine like TJB'S was a 1.6jtdm SR, and even after nearly 5 years ownership I still enjoyed driving it. Sure not as dynamic as an Alfa, or even as pretty to look at, but they do have many many great things about them. The quirky left-field look always gets admiring or confused glances, but I love the fact you can do a 200 mile journey and not see another! That uniqueness is worth the price tag alone, as there's nothing worse in my book than driving what all the other 'sheeples' drive!

     

    I think the guys have covered most things except to say there's nothing else in it's category that represents such good value. If you haven't already...Buy one!

  4. Yep completely agree with you on copper grease! I've not heard anyone say you don't need it before? Mine were certainly coated in it and never squeaked? There's nothing worse than squeaky brakes... On the other hand my 1750tbi Alfa Sportwagon used to squeal like a b*tch and I could never get those Brembo 4 pots to quieten down!

     

    I used Pagid a lot and find them good and usually great value too! So they'd get my vote...

    It just seems strange that everything has happened all at once since the new battery was fitted, or perhaps it just doesn't like exceeding six figures on the mileometer!

    Sorry Paul meant to mention that plugging the Bluetooth in before the power cables go back in might also help. They can get upset quite easily so this reboot might help re-set it.

  6.  Even though we all know 100k on a well maintained car is no problem - especially for a 2.0 MJ - I think that's the first Delta I have heard with 100k plus. C'mon Mikey thats got your name all over it  :P

     

    Yeah agree re-the 100k miles, but unfortunately consumers generally still regard the 100k mark as past its sell by date. However out of date that perception might be given how micro engine tolerances and efficiencies are now. Plus how many we see with plus £250k becoming more common.

     

    But It's not for me unfortunately as it breaks a few of my trade buying rules having once bought and sold Italian cars...

     

    I never buy light coloured cars, as generally dark metallic's look and sell better, so Essex white handbags I'll leave to you Neil!  :lol: 

     

    Secondly one too many owners, as most traders like me stop at 3 unless banger money...and 60k miles is my other threshold too.

     

     

  7. Paul it might be worth pulling the head unit out and removing all the plugs from the back and reinserting them so you know they're connected properly. That might also sort out your navigation too, as you will have inadvertently done a soft reset.

     

    If your head unit is remotely like mine was, then the Sat Nav was always searching for satellites! I think when 7 satellites have locked onto the unit the precision of your location then becomes accurate, although don't quote me on that as they differ slightly.

     

    The GPS on these units is absolutely pants compared to the likes of Kenwood or Panasonic. They're basically cheap generic Chinese units with fascia plates attached to fit the look of Fiat/Lancia.   

  8. I have 2. 0M-J and am looking to sell soon. It is a Jan 2012 car, std top model Limited spec plus the 18" wheels. 101,000 miles. Excellent condition except kerbed alloys. FSH, belt change, aux belt, water pump & DPF Filter changed at 85k miles (Oct '18). Serviced annually, recent front tyres & battery. Sat Nav & Bluetooth just started playing up but hopefully can get resolved before sale. 2 keys.

     

    I fully turned it into Lancia when purchased in Nov'17 at 65k miles with OE black gloss Momo grille, steering wheel airbag, wheel centre caps, sill covers, badging including rear quarters, with windows, engine cover & headrests badged as Lancia too. 4 owners in total, MOT until October 2020.

     

    Any idea on it's value? I was thinking somewhere between £2,000 & £2,500 if electrics mentioned above fixed. All advice appreciated.

    Difficult to price given the current pandemic, made even harder with over the 100k threshold which is still perceived as high by consumers on what is already a limited niche market car. Under normal circumstances selling privately I think your right at about £2,500 expecting to take an offer. A dealer would probably have this up for around £3200.

     

    However everything is harder to shift given the lock-down, making viewings impossible unless very local. WBAC recently were reported to have wiped roughly a third off car valuations, on an already kick in balls below trade offer that they then would push through their auctions to sell to the trade!

     

    If it was me I'd get it fixed and ride out this virus and sell once some sort of normality resumes. 

  9. Hi . I've landed into the first issue. When accelerating the car judders sometimes and you fell a slight loss in power. It's a 1.6 at diesel multijet.

    It's almost impossible to diagnose issues over the internet. It could be a boost leak, from the bottom hose having a tear in it, to a turbo actuator fault?

     

    You need diagnostics to see if there's a fault code stored, or if that doesn't reveal anything, a visual inspection of the hoses, and then a process of elimination...

    Here is some info from a diagnostic forum:

     

    OBD II fault code P0685 is a generic code that is defined as “ECM/PCM power relay -circuit open”, and is set when the PCM (Powertrain Control Module) detects that its own power supply has failed, or if it detects a low voltage in the circuit that supplies it with power.

     

    What repairs can fix the P0685 code?

     

    1. Repair of shorts or bad terminals or connections.
    2. Replacement of the powertrain control module relay.
    3. Underhood junction block replacement (fuse box)
    4. Replacement of battery cables and/or connectors.
    5. Fuse replacement.

    Heater matrix and hard pipe replacement on my 75 last year. 20 years of OAT coolant sludge took their toll.

    You know you're an Italian nutter when... You see the number 75 and instantly think that's an Italian (Alfa) car number, not British lol.

     

    Then you realise he meant a bloody Rover!  :lol:
