Rossocorsa got a reaction from vincey832 in Auto Italia Meeting
I have mixed feelings about this one as it's quite pricey for what it is and since they watered it down from a purely Italian event it put me off completely. However having said that if we are having a delta 3 get together I might think about it! Not too sure that most hardened lancia fans are too bothered about the modern ones though but mine has provoked slight curiosity on occasions. -

An ypsilon cover can be put on a delta bag of that helps (bag is different but cover identical, it's not difficult to swap covers). I would probably swap over the bag (or at least the bomb whatever it's called, gas generator?) even if you got a Delta one as at least you know your original is good. Be aware that I think I've read that some late bags have different connectors. -
Rossocorsa got a reaction from TJB in I Am Now A Delta Owner!
When I bought my Delta it replaced an MG ZT, I'd say the engine was way better but ride, handling and comfort much better on the MG. Reliability of Delta was streets ahead though, the MG was a bit of a nightmare, still one of my favourite cars though. -
Rossocorsa got a reaction from Nello in Delta Lancia Badging
Mine is now sold, not sure whether to be chuffed or to cry will hate to see it go! Anyway more importantly it's going to a Lancista so will be looked after and I've covered my repair costs I've had over and above the trade in value. It's a fabulous car for the money they really are under valued. -

Neil I forgot to point out in relation to that autotrader limited that mine had the correct badging too. Another big bonus! -
Rossocorsa got a reaction from Nello in Front Coil Springs Please Help
Just to update, it drives perfectly on the bravo springs they are definitely near identical to OE -
Rossocorsa got a reaction from Andrewgrale in Alarm Going Off Whilst Driving!
Fixed at last! Got a new siren/control unit off eBay different part number but just the tone of the beep seems slightly different £80 as opposed to about £200 from Fiat, didn't want to risk £200 on something that may not have fixed it! The reason for failure of these units seems to be neither battery failure nor damp. The unit is sealed against damp but this has the side effect of holding in very small amounts of corrosive fumes from the charging of the batteries and this corrodes the circuit board. That's the theory I found on the net and seems plausible -

I'll let you know of I decide to sell them, haven't sold the car yet, tbh I might keep the wheels and might even keep the car! I kind of can't bear to sell it but might have to. It's on sorn at the moment

Rossocorsa got a reaction from MikeyRules in Delta - Reverse Parking Sensors
Try the connector to the off side sensor, it's the most exposed and can get corroded. Easy to reach via the wheel arch -

Rossocorsa got a reaction from bignev in Might Be Selling
Out of curiosity I checked and I think they are not sold in Ireland, only in the North. I can get very good offers for new in UK anyway it's just that it's out of my already stretched budget as I want either a competizione or a 695 the lower models are all slightly compromised in one way or another

Red grey leather/alcantara carbon fibre seats mechanical limited slip diff black striping I'm not counting my chickens just yet though...... -
Rossocorsa got a reaction from Cassino in Engine Warning Light
It depends why the light is on, the generic OBD2 scanners will not always give sufficient information or deal with all codes but in this instance it might work -
Rossocorsa got a reaction from Nello in Has Anyone Used Their Asr System?
If it's wet I can spin my wheels a little out of the local Aldi car park but I'm not posh enough to shop at Tesco :-) -

I would have thought that over£4k might be toppy?
Unpopular model from discontinued brand and also diesel in today's climate will traders go for it?
Given the condition it makes me wonder if the mileage is right you'd have to drive like a nutter to wear all 4 tyres and the front pads out in that amount of use.

Rossocorsa got a reaction from MikeyRules in Delta Lancia Badging
Would agree that the estate looks more tempting I just find it annoying that fiat don't offer higher powered versions if VW can be successful across multiple brands all offering a wide range of performance options I can't see why fiat can't ? Personally if I had to get rid of the Delta (will probably only happen if age/mileage related unreliability sets in) I would probably prefer something less brash than modern Alfas but FCA don't really offer that option in a car with comparable performance to the 2 litre Delta -

Hmm purple never seen a purple one before ?? I suspect it is black metallic. Looks quite decent and as they are very unpopular with the general public I guess it could be a bargain, I'm surprised that it has brake pads worn out and presumably all 4 tyres have been replaced (states budget fitted) at such a low mileage. Steering comment seems odd. Well worth someone having a punt on it if the price is right though. -

Rossocorsa got a reaction from MikeyRules in Delta Options And Add-On's.....
Yeah well it will take an hour or so I suppose but as they really aren't that essential they are lots on my priority list, next job to run the VX engine again for longer and try to get it vaguely set up right. -

The dreaded seat! I really wish it was sliding like the other versions -
