A local 'Google search' (other search engines available' - should come up with local TV / Radio repair shacks - a  few phone calls will probably save a lot of petrol.

More often than not, these days, items such as sat navy are deemed to be non-viable repairs, as a new unit is a) an easier repair B) cheaper to do

(Mums 4 year old S++Y Tv, estimated repair was in order of 200 squid.

Voltage regulator / power unit / strip & fit .... and also the vodka and tonic aspect

New S++Y TV was in the order of 260 squid - plus a five year (thanks to Jenny Loowis) sort it out paperwork.)

Cost for a new unit?

There are a couple of units on flea bay, maybe they would do you a swop out via a repairer ....
