0 mikebh8
What is working before. I am not sure but I believe it will only function on cold weather. You can tel if it is working by listening after turning the engine off and couple of seconds after you will see a bit of smoke coming out from the auxiliary exhaust under the left side rear passenger door. 0 QinteQ
Left to its own devices it will just work for up to 2 hours, it's a self contained unit with its own logic. If (1) its cold enough [below 6C] and (2) if you are at least 1/4 full of fuel and (3) the vehicle battery does not drop below 9.6v.

0 Daz264
Am i right in thinking if i remove the aux heater fuse i will still have heating when the car warms up and save on fuel ??
0 andyb2000
Hi Daz264, Yes that's correct, you will still get warmth eventually, but just will take longer as it'll just use the engine warmth.(PS: Pls open a new topic rather than reopen an old one!) 0 gordy
It's maybe passed away like mine, been electrically unplugged and coolant hoses isolated.See pictures. One is total unit on its death bed and other its little heat transfer heart that cracked and pissed out coolant.
