I too have the same issue and have found the little EVIC display unit has failed. On mine the backlight works as does all the dials (assume yours still work too) but the little display has failed. Finding a replacement seems to costs £150 which I don't think I'll pay that for such a unit. Looking for it on breaker sites. Can't get mine MOT'ed until I get a replacement.
