Thanks for the replies. Dazandtrace, when you say you had the same problem, were you towing? I don't have a problem without the caravan, it'll normally go all day without any rise in temp. I suppose it could depend on the degree of blocking.
2007 Grand Voyager 2.8 CRD Has anybody had overheating problems when towing a caravan on long hills? The temperature gauge rises steadily and would go into the red zone if I didn't slow down considerably. When the top of the hill is reached the gauge returns to normal very quickly. Friends who pull heavier caravans with smaller engine cars ( not Chrysler) don't seem to have a problem, they can maintain 60 mph or so while I have to slow below 40.
