  1. There are a number of videos covering this on youtube. Unfortunately Chrysler uses a electroluminescent film for these displays and you won't be doing this without a soldering iron and a new driver for it. It is quite an in depth repair Mine is still flickering and I have the parts (less the £10) to repair when I finally have time to. Your best bet is to find an auto electrician and hope they can do it for you. Best of luck!

  3. Hi, I don't know how much you have looked at but I have had some similar issues in the past. Things to check: fuses, battery contacts and connections at the back of the unit hopefully something nice and easy because that radio/satnav is by far one of the best features of the car
  4. Not sure exactly what you need but I would be looking at eBay. This is what came up for my search, obviously without the part in hand I wouldn't know if it's correct https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F372645162814
  5. Hi, I don't know about the joining pipe but the turbo/intercooler pipe You can get on eBay if you search for "Jeep patriot intercooler pipe" it should be the first result, but check pictures to confirm. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F332452770445 Link might work... Good luck

    Gearbox Oil

The rubber plug is where you fill it from... And it drains... I think it was the bottom left side had the drain... But I can't remember, it was a lot of guesswork finding it in the first place with such a lack of information. I will take a look in the morning and see if I can find the drain again
  7. Yess, that clip pops off quite easy, flat screwdriver or pliers to lift it off
  8. Dead centre of the engine? Quite a large diameter hose? If so yes that's from the intercooler, I have blown mine a few times, if you search eBay for a jeep... Patriot? Maybe... Intercooler hosei got one from Poland for under £40 reinforced it with heat resistant silicon tape. When you have it off it's a good time to look In and see how gummed up the intake side of you engine is. Untill your replacement arrives duct tape, super glue and cable ties and driving a little more gently should get you by.
  9. I might have a look at getting a new map on mine then, otherwise if the map sensor or egr delete work please let us know because they are a relatively cheap fix
  10. Mine is directly below the steering wheel, if you reach toward the brake pedal and feel up beneath the plastic trim should be right in the middle. Hope that helps!
  11. Ahh, I haven't had mine re-mapped, so that crosses that off the list (did the remap do much good?), and mine started before I changed my fuel, air and cabin filters and didn't get any better after. But I doubt it is fuel related, if I put my foot down it stops, if I come off the accelerator it stops. It is just when trying to maintain a constant speed. Like I say it seems very common for the engine and no one thing seems to fix it, infact I'm yet to see someone claim to have fixed it. Mine feels a bit slow at times when the engine is cold, and the turbo does seem to be a bit delayed but when it's warmed up Ive never felt disappointed with it. It's a nice car, I love the rareity of it and all the luxury features, (I have the 2009 with mygig touchscreen, heated seats and all the trimming) so I'm determined to keep it running well above 300k miles if I can, my wife hates it though
  12. Hi I have noted a very similar issue when 'tickling' the accelerator to maintain a speed above 50mph or even as low as 30mph. I have read a lot about it. Unfortunately there are a number of things it could be, injectors, injector/glow wiring harness, MAF sensor, throttle position sensor, throttle, turbo, waste gate, ECU remap... The list is endless, take a look at the forums for Mk5 golf or scoda Octavia, any car with the vw of engine (bkd) there are a few other engine codes similar but ours is ECM according to Chrysler but really it's a bkd.. I have changed a number of parts and still suffer from it, only thing close to a cure I have found so far is to run the engine hard for a few journeys, like you stole it. But after a short while it's back. If you do find a cure for it, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post it in our forum it is a frustrating minor problem people seem to have to settle with... Good luck!
  13. When looking at your engine bay, behind the air intake filter box, your looking right at the back, take out the air box for more space to get to it, I think it's only a couple of bolts to get it free and then it's not so hard to change
  14. Sorry can you describe the problem with a bit more detail? Like your losing power when driving and when idling the engine is struggling? Do you have any check engine lights on?
