  1. I would say it all depends on how well the car has been looked after and if there is a full service history. Twin air engines have been known to fail at fairly low mileage but I suspect this is where the correct oil has not been used and/or the services haven't been done on time. I would say if you're buying a twin air try and find one with less than 70k on the clock. I don't have any experience with the diesels but they would probably be good for at least 100k. If you're looking for more advice try the Fiat Forum as the engines are the same as found in the Panda and 500.
  2. This supplier in Poland has the gear selector cables: https://ucaro.pl/produkt/linka-zmiany-biegow/?fbclid=IwAR26WysKO2D2QlhNAxa-KJAUhOTbzQb72u59yzT5DuJ6vqUHtOA-blviuI0 Also Autodoc had them available until recently but currently showing no stock: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/spares-search?keyword=55242809 Any Fiat (orAlfa/Jeep) dealership should be able to advise/supply Ypsilon parts as they are on their system - and the Ypsilon is still in production in Italy. I have tried a couple of dealerships in London who have no idea, but my local Fiat dealership in Slough is really good. I also got some bits from Fiat in Dartford recently. (I appreciate that's not very helpful if you are in Scotland!) It probably depends on how long they have had the franchise and how knowledgeable the staff are. Any of them should be able to find part numbers via the VIN.
  3. I've found two different part numbers, possibly depending on model. One seems to be common with Fiat Punto, Panda, 500 etc and the other one is Panda only. Probably worth enquiring at your local Fiat dealership with your reg/VIN number to ensure you get the right one. The part numbers I found were 77365412 (L) / 77365413 (R) and 77366052 (L) / 77366053 (R)
  4. Hi there, Hopefully you've found one by now, but if not I just wanted to say they are out there - I bought my twinair Limited last year for about £3500 from a used car dealership with 65k on the clock. I've seen others going for £2500-3000 so just wanted to reassure you you don't need to pay the huge asking prices some people have. I found quite a few on Facebook market place before I bought mine and some on ebay. Good luck!
  5. Hi there, I appreciate this post is almost 10 years old but thought I'd say hello as I'm a massive Y10 fan and also in High Wycombe!
  6. Hi all, thought I'd say hello as I've recently acquired an Ypsilon Twinair. Back in the day I had a few Lancia Y10s so it feels good to be back in something from the "Y" family!
