  1. I know this is an old post but I am still looking for a Chrysler Delta wheelcap for the 1.6 MJ with 17" wheels. If anyone has them please let me know.
  2. Shame that no one has been able to answer this question. I guess there just aren't that many Delta owners about these days. Someone on the Delta FB group mentioned that this might be the gaiter for the rear handbrake cable? I am not sure about that. I still need to jack the car up and get a proper look under there. If it is then I don't think it is an MOT failure unless the handbrake is not working properly, which it is.
  3. I have several issues with my 1.6 MJ which I bought in August this year (2022). Coolant leak from the EGR housing. Apparently this was there as far back as 2019. It was mentioned on the 2019 MOT and the one for 2020 but not on the 2021 MOT. I assume they washed the engine bay to remove the leaked coolant. It wasn't there when I checked the car but again, the engine bay had been washed. We live and learn! Anyway, I have the part, the Vauxhall Insignia one. Just can't find anyone to fit it. Next up, for a while now I have been getting a few clunks and knocks from my 1.6 MJ. Sometimes when turning left, sometimes when driving in a straight line and just occasionally it doesn't make any noise at all. So I had a look under the car using my borescope and at the back there is a torn rubber boot on something but I don't know what this is. Perhaps someone here can tell me? I really don't know how this got through an MOT. I doubt it fell to pieces like this over the past 12 months? MOT is due on Dec 13th. I have noticed that on starting the car after it has been sitting overnight, almost every time, the oil warning light comes on, just for a few seconds. It then goes out and doesn't come on again whilst driving or if I park up for a short time and start the car again. Oil level is fine by the way. No errors are showing on my OBD scanner. Lastly we come to the gearbox. This is the semi-auto and I have heard that they are not the smoothest of autos out there but this one clunks when changing gear. Most noticeable when changing down. It also sometimes seems to forget what gear it is in. For example if I come to a halt on a slight incline and then go to pull away, nothing happens. I press the accelerator and the car struggles to move forward for a few seconds before suddenly picking up speed as normal. I live in West Sussex and I have tried so many garages in order to get these things looked at but no one is interested. I don't understand why? Pics below of that split rubber boot. From two angles.
  4. I have the same issue with my 1.6MJ. Gearchanges are often clunky, especially on changing down. And occasionally it seems to have a problem deciding which gear it is in. Mostly when pulling away on an incline after just coming to a stop. I put my foot down on the accelerator and...nothing. It crawls forward almost as if trying to pull away in third gear on a manual? Got a few other issues but will save that for a new post. Just thought I would mention the gearbox thing. Someone told me it needs to be calibrated? Also finding it impossible to get any garage down here (Sussex) to work on the car. Even a so called "Alfa Specialist" is ignoring my requests even for a simple service
  5. Hi all. New to the forum and very happy to be here I picked up my 2012 Chrysler Delta 1.6 M-Jet SE Semi-Auto today and so far I am very happy with it. The only fly in the ointment is that when I got home I noticed I had lost one of the hub caps. I have searched online but so far I cannot seem to find one. Are they availalable?
