would it be the turbo though as it still kicks in good and hard ? there is possibly a slight air noise but there is no whistle or anything like that . i know nothing about turbos so wanted to check with you

hi, i have a 2006 voyager 2.8crd which suddenly developed a fault where its really lumpy starting in the morning .When you accelerate there is hardly any power ,loads of black smoke and then once i get it out the drive and past 2000rpm it goes fine. Engine light also came on. i don the key dance but it just brought code P1685 which doesnt look like anything to do with my problem so pulling out onto a main road with 3 kids in car aint ideal. i tried a tin of wynns egr cleaner this morning. got back and noticed a patch on the ground . It appears the whole can went through the system and is now lying directly underneath the engine bay . This didnt look right and assume i must have a leak but i'm useless. What should i be obviously looking for ? Thankyou!
