  1. Happened to me..I cut out the section of the two rotten water pipes and bridged them with rubber hoses...16mm internal diameter.
  2. 18mm mate...I did this job a while ago. I had loads of 18mm sockets but space is severely restricted around the back of the rear hub. I ended up buying another socket set which did the job....Draper from toolstation..product number 26034 for info. Use plenty of wd40 (or better) ahead of the job
  3. I had exactly the same problem with my 2.8l GV (2007)...it turned out to be the amp in the back draining the battery quickly and causing the alarm not disarming, then main battery discharging and then alarm going off (activating) at random times *presumably when the main battery is about to completely discharge. Alarm only stopped when the auxiliary battery died. Hope this helps someone in the future! (Cost me £500 in tests and diagnosis etc)
  4. Flexplate failure sounds like a very loud rattling noise. Doesn't necessarily affect performance until it is really bad
  5. Same thing happened to me...felt like the brakes were sticking. Eventually got worse. gearbox failed. Cost me 2500 for a reconditioned one.
  6. EGR pipe clamp and pipe please. Or point me in the direction of a source... 2007 2.8l CGV auto diesel. Thanks
  7. Hello everyone Joined up today for helpful advice. I've had a 2007 2.8L GV for a couple of years now and it's on just over 96k. It hasn't caused me any major issues but it just failed it's mot.(apparent failed EGR pipe clamp (leak)is the major problem so im after a replacement if anyone knows a source. Looking forward to learning more about my car as i prefer to work on my cars where possible. Cheers
