TJB got a reaction from Cassino in Springs
All done now. Acecarparts on eBay had the springs at £44 for the pair for the KYBs. Unlike my old Astras, you do need both wheels off and the car supported to get enough swing on the rear arms to get out the springs. The Astra could be done one side at a time.
Whole job took about an hour start to finish, including clearing up.

TJB got a reaction from Cassino in Looking To Buy
I've owned mine for about 2 years now having wanted one for a long time. It's my first foray in to Italian car ownership and, so far, has been a pleasant experience. A pleasure to own
I have the 1.6 diesel in SR trim. I bought mine as a private sale with 48000 on the clock. It was up at £3800, but I haggled £400 off the cover the timing belt and water pump.
Worth remembering that the diesel engines are also shared with some Vauxhall / Opel models, so that should help parts supply.

Loving that. I have a Vistaprint account and may well follow your example.

TJB got a reaction from Penguin2007 in Front And Rear Discs
Thanks Mike,
I have a sneaking suspicion mine were still original. I suppose I cant complain at 7 years and nearly 60k. Front inner pads were heavily worn, the outers still had a bit of life in them. Rears will probably need doing in the next few months but look OK for now.
I noticed there were two different sizes for the pads when browsing online, so took some dimensions before ordering. I also noticed some sets of pads only have the wear sensor on one side, mine has them on both, so passed that on to my local parts store as well.

TJB got a reaction from Nello in Springs
That's a big help. I have the KYB RH3908 on mine, I still think it looks too high at the front, but as it's a working car, I needed it sorted asap. I may look at changing them, depending on what else my MOT throws up next month.
I have the found Eibach part numbers, which Autodoc list under Lancia Delta III as being for models with "sports suspension"
1.4 Petrol Front: 113001201VA
1.4 Petrol Rear: 113001201HA
1.6, 1.9, 2.0 Diesel Front: 113001202VA
1.6, 1.9, 2.0 Diesel Rear: 113001201HA
Complete kit of lowering springs (30mm drop front and rear on standard car, but with the caveat that models with factory sports suspension may already be lowered to some degree)
1.6, 1.9, 2.0 Diesel: E10-49-002-02-22
1.8 Petrol: E10-49-002-02-22

TJB got a reaction from Andrewgrale in Egr Valve
A quick update, the You Tube video is spot on. The only thing on the Delta is that the battery is slightly in the way. other than that, access is a bit tight, but it's a straightforward, if fiddly job to remove, strip and clean the EGR valve. Mine was really coked up and needed a darn good clean.
I had mine done start to finish, including resetting the fault codes and a good test run, in under 3 hours. Having done it once, I could probably do it quicker next time.

the EGR vale is part of an assembly on the side of the engine, that includes the thermostat, EGR vale and a heat exchanger.
The EGR valve is the black part on the end of the right side in the main picture and sits toward the bulkhead when mounted in the car
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-2016-ALFA-ROMEO-GIULIETTA-1-6-DIESEL-EGR-VALVE-55229740/143564968330?hash=item216d23918a%3Ag%3AFswAAOSw-AFefHhd&LH_ItemCondition=3000
The same part is used on a Vauxhall and is half the Alfa price if you need a new one.

I have a 2001, 110hp, 1910cc Marea sx saloon with 230000 miles and still the original 1st day EGR valve which has been dismantled and cleaned 3 times, I use brake cleaner to get the worst off it, then an hour and a half in the ultrasonic cleaner and it's clean as a whistle, I now clean it at each timing belt change at 70k miles! Hope this is of some help??

TJB reacted to Cow in Faulty Ecu Or Relay ?
It does have a touch screen Android computer system which makes me suspicious but would that in turn cause other issues like the transmission fault ? I have managed to find an independent fiat dealer who sounds pretty confident he can fix it so fingers crossed!! Probably half the cost of a main dealer too.
Thanks everyone for your feedback it is much appreciated!! I will give you an update on any news ?

TJB reacted to pokerwork in Front Coil Springs Please Help
Just adding a note on my experience with the springs.
When I bought my car, 2012 1.4 Multiair, in 2016 it had had the offside rear one replaced. The nearside rear duly broke in 2017 and since I needed to get it back on the road quickly I purchased replacement from Chrysler but at the same time ordered a full set of the Eibach springs since I knew sooner or later based on the comments on this Forum that I'd have a problem with the fronts. They were being quoted as out of stock at Eibach at the time hence the decision to get one from the local Chrysler dealer. The Eibach springs took several weeks to arrive but they did eventually (£124 for the four) and since then have been sitting in the garage but sure enough a couple of weeks ago the front nearside spring broke so this gave me the opportunity to replace all four with the Eibachs. I've attached some photos to show before and after and I think it's clear there's a definite lowering. Unfortunately I wasn't organised enough to actually measure anything! They are noticeably stiffer and I'll keep an eye on them to see if they lower any more as they settle in.

I ended up with DriveTec discs and pads from my local parts factor. They've been on since October and seem OK. Part number is PAD2299. They have the wear sensor on both sides which some don't.

I've done a bit of research on KYB springs and there are several spring types. Firstly, nothing mentioned for Lancia Delta of our vintage, so over to the Bravo section, and there are two types of rear spring (sport and regular) and five fronts (sport regular plus varying engine weights to support)
1.4 base Front RH3906 Rear RH6389
1.4 T-Jet RH3907 RH6389
1.4 T-Jet Sport RH3910 RH6437
1.6 Diesel RH3908 RH6389
2.0 Diesel RH3909 RH6437
Dampers are more straightforward and are in the Lancia section
Rears all models 343826
Fronts 2.0 (1.9 twin turbo and 1750TB) 339786
all 1.4 petrols and 1.6 diesels 339785
Spring prices on ebay start at £15 for the rears and £25 for the fronts

Well a few of us from here are on the Facebook group now so will have seen this, but for those that haven't I got the correct Lancia Multiair engine cover from Alfashop & here it is fitted. Part number is 55238563.

don't do it, I have lowered springs on 18in rims and the ride is too harsh, going to KYB after Xmas

TJB got a reaction from Andrewgrale in Springs
In the end we ordered using the KYB part number. They fitted no problem but are a little "fatter" than the ones that came off. The car is sitting quite a bit higher, but I'm sure it will settle with time. In fact, I actually wouldn't mind a little more ground clearance.

I had that exact issue. Just go onto Autotrader and find a Bravo, then use that registration number!
If they still say no, just find a different parts factor.
