They usually clip back together, if the cable(s) broke YouTube has dozens of walk through's.
Alternatively as you say scrappy for you.

If everything else fails see if you can get a 'new' one made via a 3D printer. There are people - and companies that offer this service ~ I have made some cams for my electric gate motors when the manufacturer wanted £25.00 each for them. If I costed my time out for producing them (2 off) would probably be around the 150 mark but times free on a Sunday - better than mowing the grass anyway.

If you prefer paper, you can use the Haynes Dodge Grand Caravan and Chrysler Town And Country manual. 2008 thru 2012. This book is aimed at the US market and therefore does not cover RHD or Diesel models. Nevertheless it is still very useful.

Rich reacted to karmannski in Sliding Doors Problem On Mk5
Hi all,
I managed to fix the issue and hope that it will help some of you in the future to save some stress and money.
The problem was bad ground wire G300 that lives under the carpet next to the B pillars on each side of the car.
You must remove plastic covers and lift the carpet, undo the wire and give it a good clean.
I found this video for similar problem, that might help you to picture it.

Hopefully this is it and I wont have this problem any more.

Ok
It seams to work after reseting of the module.
To reset it you need to disconect positive lead from batterry for 10min.
I hava also checked IOD fuse (M13) and give it a clean.
Aparemtly it is the software failour and it happens now anf them.

Rich, thanks once again, the owners manual is so helpful, so many buttons and levers and I like to know how everything works.

Thanks Rich. Downloaded the music from the tablet onto my laptop. (no USB port on the tablet) and then onto a memory stick and it works perfectly. Sometimes the simple things work out best.
Much appreciation for your advice and Happy Christmas to you and yours.

I had a look at where the spare wheel is and the equipment for lowering it and changing the wheel. All I can say is I hope I don't need to change the wheel when it is pouring down with rain and freezing cold. My wife suggested I put the spare wheel in the car, just in case. Might be a good idea.

Thanks very much Rich. I got the cruise control figured out yesterday, first time I'd driven the car on a suitable road, I can confirm the controls are exactly as you detailed. I'll now go and see about the spare wheel.
Thanks a lot for your help.
