Cheers fella, I took a deposit on the car yesterday, so pending collection it is gone... Quite sad to see it go really, as it's been such a fabulous car!
I think I paid around £400 for the reg from DVLA select registrations, but I'm letting it go with the car.
Did the Irish lad buy it?

Having been through the process, I'd definitely recommend taking the plunge - the VRT was suprisingly reasonable in my experience (2.0 LTD) - that was nearly 2 years ago so should be even less now
Go for it - you won't regret it
If you've any questions, feel free to give me a shout - I'm based in Co Meath

Only one other solution then
If the Delta can't go and the Alfa can't go, then that leaves.........
-
You should keep it and get rid of whatever other pile of junk you have taking up space on your drive
-
Don't go all postal on me but I actually don't mind the Chrysler thing
I'm far too lazy and poor to go changing anyway - I know its a Lancia underneath

Just wondering if there is a setting buried somewhere in the software - for another region maybe?
-
Anyone know if it is possible to set the rear lights to come on with the DRLs?
I read somewhere that it can be done on other makes through the software

Thank you

I have the centres plus a set of used wheels not sure if I'll part with any of them TBH though those wheels are scarce
Hi Rosso, don't worry, I'm not after your wheels
Would you be able to send me the part number off the back of the centres please
-
Thanks
If either of them read this and still have the Chrysler centres, I'd be interested in doing a deal
-
I think they are the same size Spud yes but the SR centre caps have a definate raised centre to accommodate the hub so they don't all fit - You can see it here -
I bought some Ltd 'Black' edition centres a while ago and they would not fit.
Cheers Nello - has anyone on here converted a Ltd?
-
Sounds about it Thanks - I'm actually surprised they fit - The SR Diamond cut wheels have a centre cap with a raised centre to accommodate the sticky-out hub which they appear to not have. Glad they fit though - I have been caught out by not getting the exact ones before.
Would these be the same size as the centres for the 18" wheels on the Limited? If so, I'd be interested in taking someones Chrysler branded ones if they still have them

Wowsers a Fiat Tempra! Not seen one of those for a while... They even did an estate, which wasn't that pretty either!
If we're going down the 90's boxy saloon route, I'd rather have a wide body 155, at least Tarquinii made them famous for being on two wheels spitting flames around a touring car track!
I'll see your 155 wide body and raise you a Dedra Integrale
There was a guy over here selling one last year - I'd never seen one before but it was a good looking car - ultra rare too

Spud have you got the factory Sat Nav unit, or did you install a Navplus?
The Navplus didn't come with European Mapping, so you had to buy them on Micro SD, but tablet compatible, as most Sat Nav software on the Android Play store don't work, or require 3G phone connection through tethering.
I'm not familiar with the which mapping software comes with the OEM unit, or whether it's Android or Windows CE based? Rosso on here might be able to help with that...
Its the factory unit Mikey - I know blue&me is windows based (at least it is in my old grande punto sporting) so the sat nav might be the same

Interesting choices there Spud! The Thema and Croma are pretty much invisible now on the used market, and not the best looking Italian's either... But I like the leftfield approach, so fair play...
As a 17 year old, I used to drive past a 164 on a garage forecourt just to stop and look at it! That love still exists today having owned nearly 20 Alfas over the years... There has been one or two for sale by club members under 5k, but nothing special enough to make me want to buy them... It's a big car for a twin spark, and thirsty in 3.0L form too... But that dashboard still makes me feel 17 again when I see one!
I always liked the look of the Thema (S2 better than S1) and the Croma - no doubt the 164 was the "Sophia Loren" of the type 4s though - they do need the right wheels/spec to get the juices flowing I admit - the twin sparks are a bit plain
I had a Thema 16Vi.e. back in the day and it was no slouch - the Turbo was supposed to be the fastest accelerating FWD car when it was introduced I seem to remember
A Tempra 2.0 i.e. would be an excellent sleeper too - lovely engine and "ahem" quirky looks (they're all gone unfortunately)

Anyone know where updated maps can be got?
to say the Irish maps are a bit vague would be understatement of the year
-
Coupes are all well and good but here's my suggestions (if you can find any at this stage)
1 Thema Turbo
2 Croma Turbo ie
3 164 V6

Fair play gents
The autoclose/open function using the remote was only operating two of my windows (passenger front and drivers side rear)
Did the old MikeyRules reset and all good again
-
Great, thanks again

Hi Nello, that looks like them to me - I assume the part no is the long one on the bag?
Just need to find someone who sells them now
Thanks for the info
-
Apologies if this has been asked and answered before - searched but couldn't find it
Just became the proud owner of a Limited recently and I went to lower the back seats and snapped one of the clips that hold the retractable load cover f@!*
Anyone know where to get replacements - are they used on the Bravo?
Google has been surprisingly unhelpful
Cheers in advance

Hello everyone
I recently found myself the proud owner of a Delta Limited so I thought I'd join up for the moral support
Looks like a great site. Looking forward to getting to know you all

Glad it all went well
Looks like the Irish Delta owners club will have to be just Andrew and me for the time being
As Nello says, keep in touch - you're a great source of knowledge
